Other than super antispyware & spybot, does anyone know of a good spyware and adware program that is free? I have found a lot of them will scan the system but you then have to pay to remove the spyware. Super Antispyware is helping a little but if anyone can recommend one that has worked well for them, I'd appreciate the help. Cheers.

On the butterfly icon to click to reach the internet there is a "History" button to see what pages you visited....on mine it does not work and nothing is rembered..... Is it possible to turn it off so that it does not store the pages visted, has this happened? and if so, how do i turn it back on?

Does a house that enables cable T.V. as with Life-time, and many channels.........can that be considered a HOT SPOT as like at the airport? At the airport, someone could plug-in a laptop and get connected to the internet (if that person has the correct settings for that purpose).

My computer came with McAfee Internet Security and it works well enough. But, I will have to come up with seventy dollars to subscribe for another year of protection.

Netzero wants me to use Norton security. I tried installing it on my computer and it jammed everything up. I had to uninstall it. They want only two dollars a month for the Norton security service, but I don't know if they are not offering as much as Mcaffee or not.

I supposed I could uninstall Mcafee to install Norton, but I don't have software for reinstalling Mcaffee if I change my mind about Norton.

So which do you think is better with the better deal, with the better security, with the better price?

I can't seem to get onto www.myspace.com, the firewall won't alow it and I've tried typing it in in a foreign language using babelfish but that doesn't work, also it won't let me go on any proxy websites I've tried, help!!!

I can play everything in VDO and net movies, but when it comes to net radio I can hear nothing, even I enable coockies and so on. When check the requiments for hear net radio, it says "can't detect Windows mediaplayer" But it have always been there, and it is set as default player.
What the h... is wrong ???

I'm putting together a site or two, and I've got about 400 fonts on my machine. I know not to use obscure ones, but is there anyway you could list for me a list of GOOD COMMON FONTS, perhaps some that will be a bit different than Arial or Times, but will still draw correctly on most machines? A link to a list, or a typed list would be great! Thanks in advance, Greg

Well, I reformatted not long ago because I thought my computer was due for one. Nothing has changed other than the fact that I deleted everything and started clean with the same Windows XP disk I've used twice already. It's just that, when I'm on the net, and I scroll down a page, it will refresh incredibley slow, top to bottom, instead of just simply scrolling. Programs dont seem to take any longer to start up, and I haven't noticed anything else acting up, but my browser is definitely slower. I've tried IE and Firefox, and they're both doing it.
