According to my friends, they keep getting messages saying i've signed out, then back in, often several minutes at a time. I have not signed out, i am typing and sending messages that they are not receiving.

i found that i have bad sector on my HD ,, i instil new windows XP and its worked ,, but i lost 5 GB from the 80 GB ,, its now worked well ,, but someone told me replace the hard ,, DO i need to replace the HD with new one ? and is it tru the full scan will bring the Bad sector proplem back ? i wont to do full virus scan to my HD but im afraid the Bad Sector will back agen ,, if anyone know anythink about the bad sectors plz answer

Hello there once again, good Yahooers! I have another question, my dearies!

I am in Computer Discovery this year. I love the teacher, I love my classmates, and I love most of the class. There is one thing I dread hearing though...

"Please open MicroType and continue your lessons."

I hate to type homerow and whatnot. I type amazingly fast when I am looking at the keyboard and letting loose. However, we must keep our eyes off of the keyboard (VERY tempting when you forget where X is that moment) and keep our fingers on homerow. Anyway that I could improve my no-looky skills and my rate?

(As a side note, anyone know ways I could convince the teacher to download Mozilla? IE has caused me no end of grief!)

At my house there is this home network of two desktops, connected to a router via Ethernet, and a laptop connected via 802.11b. I know the IP address, but it's for every computer connected to the router. I want to set up Apache on one computer and have it so that if someone from another computer would enter my IP address, they would see it as a web site set up by Apache. I tried, but it would only work on localhost and 127.0.0.1. If I entered the IP address of the computer I'm using, I see a setup page for Linksys. I want it so that anyone could enter that IP address, they would see it as a web site setup by Apache. I am using Windows XP on all computers and I do have Administrator's priviliges. I prefer Apache, but I can use something like IIS or anything for Windows, but I do not want to use Linux. If you need to know, the router is by Linksys and is also connected to a broadband cable modem. And I also don't plan on having a lot of traffic going to it, just only for me.

I inherited a previously used computer at work. The computer has a worm (I think thats the term). Whenever I attempt to use internet explorer, ads pop up and either delay whatever I was trying to do or lock explorer up. I have pop up blocker and virus protection. Its a minor inconvience, but an annoyance none the less. Is there an easy way for someone who knows very little about computers to fix it?

Ok, so im writing books- and my spellcheck doesnt work. i have it programmed to work, and the options are set, but say if i type in this: "jhfnjs fjhs" it says that its a word. There's no little red underlining under the mispelled word. Or say if i type in a fictional name "Juriyala" for example, it says its right, when i know for a fact, it is not. So is there anyone that can help me get my spellcheck back!? i hate writing with no spellcheck- makes things alot harder! i even called the microsoft works number, and they didnt have an phone recorded options that help with microsoft word works. So can anyone help me?! please!!!

I have a Dell PC with a Celeron 2.4 GHz processor with 256 MB RAM. Is there a hardware or software upgrade (or special add-on) I can do to make it perform close to a 2.4 GHZ REGULAR Pentium?

Note:
I know Celerons have less cache; can you upgrade the cache (maybe not) OR maybe I should just upgrade my RAM to 1 GB to get better performance. what's the advantage of having a true Pentium as opposed to a Celeron (does a true Pentium do better when multitasking?)

Is Limewire illegal if you download songs but dont like download the songs and put them on a discand sell the discs would that be legal...or is that considered illegal...like if you just download the songs that you want and use the on a cd for your own convience.
