My computer has a trojan.vundo or somethin like that virus...and i've had it for quite some time...about 5 months. and now my computer is all getting screwed up and stuff...can i buy a new processor [where you turn the computer on] without having to buy a whole new computer all over again [the monitor,mouse,speakers ] ???

I have had firefox for about 2 months. Just today when I check my Yahoo mail its fine for a few emails but then says:

Firefox has caused an error in MSVCRT.DLL
and will now close. If you continue experiencing problems try restarting your computer. Which I did-3 times. The only thing different is I downloaded Yahoo Instant Messenger and installed it the day before yesterday. Anyone know the answer to this?

i was downloading a screensaver (freeze.com) it ask if i wanted to ??? (can't remember the exact terminology) keep my home page from ever changing(lock it) i said yes keep it to my current homepage, NOW i can't change it no matter where i go to try to change it ? i have tried tools/int. opt'd=s, went into add ons, tried various programs, HELP ! i want my yahoo back !

My Labtop. An Old Labtop A Gateway 2000 Solo Has A Problem. I'm trying to trancefur a a program over to it, a small program to it. and what it ends up doing nothing just scanning the disk. and its Windows 95 on it. it wont find the program on the disk. HELP ME

I have a white MacBook with a built-in iSight camera. I started PhotoBooth and an error message appeared, saying either my camera isn't connected or other apps are using the camera. Both of which were false. There's gotta be something wrong with my iSight camera, and I don't know what!!! It just stopped working for no reason! No green light, nothing! I did some research on it and found out lots of other people are having this same problem and I tried a few things but they didn't work...

What should I do? Call Apple? I don't have AppleCare by the way. And I had the MacBook for about a couple months already...Do you know if it would be free for them to replace the iSight? Well, thank you for your help and suggestions!

Does anyone have (or know about) the hp pavilion zt1201s? It is a standard XP HE install, and all I have done is connect it to the net, and run updates on both the Norton Antivirus 2002 (useless, and will be replaced by Zonealarm soon) and Windows. Because it hasn't been online for 2+ years, there are/were over 21 Windows updates. Ever since all these patches were applied, it runs really slow. Anyone have the same issue? Any ideas appreciated.

I've installed a game, and there is this error message:

Autorun.exe-Ordinal Not Found

"The ordinal 31317 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."

Now I can't play the game. This has never happended to my old Windows 98 computer, and I am currently using Windows XP.

What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

Whenever I record something with my microphone, I hear it through my speakers and sometimes it gives nasty feedback. I tried muting the FPink (where I put my mic into) and the "Microphone" in the output settings in different combinations but I either still hear myself or my friends can't hear me when I'm voice chatting with them. How can I fix this?

Hi
mobo fried, recently working. Now no longer powers at all. Power jack (is laptop mobo) was burned.

Getting no power from battery or ac, so think something else must have friend (possibly the separate mobo that this samsung p20 has).

Is there any way to repair/find where the fault is on such a motherboard?

Answers such as 'take it to an electrician' etc. not welcome - am talking about a solution at home, am an experienced computer techy (well, apart from this question)
