My car needs to change transmission and the mechanic in the car dealership said it would be a re-manufactured transmission (factory-rebuild). My car is a new Toyota still under warranty. The mechanic said it should be as good as a brand new transmission because all components inside the transmission are new and made in Toyota factory and only the frame (the box) is reused transmission box. Can anyone advise me if it is true and what is the difference between the re-manufactured and other re-build (for the old car) transmission? How am I sure that the right transmission is installed? Thanks so much for your professional advises.

I'm 18 y/o girl and I have a chance to drive a hayride tractor for a festival at a farm I'm going to work at this fall. I will only get a day or two of driving. I've had my drivers license 2 years now, how hard will it be to learn?

Dodge is offering pretty good incentives on the 2007 Dodge Dakota. The Quad-cab is a very reasonable price. Can anyone share their experience with these trucks? I've heard they have alot of room for their size. I'd really like a full-size pickup, but the Dakota is much more affordable. I currently have a 97 Ranger Extended Cab and want something bigger. It seems like the Dakota is a nice option vs the full-size pickups. Can anyone share their experience with these pickups? Would you get the V8 or is the V6 good enough for a 4WD Quad-cab?

It seems that everyone is offering pretty good incentives on new 2007 pickups. I've always been partial to Ford. Ford has $4000 cash back, Dodge has $6000 cash back on full-size pickups. With $6000 cash back from Dodge, I have to consider Dodge now. This is my first full-size pickup. Can anyone offer some advice?

Does anyone know if the dealers are discounting the full-size Ford 150 pickups? I know a few years ago before the cost of gas got crazy the dealers sold them as fast as they got them in. I'm wondering now that the price of gas is crazy are the dealers now willing to discount them.

I have a two stroke Victa strimmer that was running , albeit quite poorly, but cut out and will not start now. There is a good strong blue spark, compression of about 45 - 50 psi, i am using a fresh fuel /oil mix. When i removed the air filter i noticed that the fuel mix was being blown out of the carb inlet when i pulled the cord. I removed the carb and when looking through the inlet port i can see the piston but at no time during its cycle does it uncover the inlet port. So how can the fuel mix get into the cylinder? Any help or advice would be welcomed.

I was on some backroads a while ago and driving my grandmas mercedes. Heck i thought, if i washed it for her i might as well see what else i can do its not like she ever drives over 30. So i found this nice 1/2 mile strip and i got it up to 140 mph. I wanted to keep going to see when the governor kicks in or when the engine peaks im not sure how mercedes regulates there cars speeds, but i was wondering if anyone out there actually does know the top speed on this car? It's a 1994 Mercedes Benz E320. Thanks.

The neg terminal is getting a strange blue corrosion on it. What could be causing this? Thank you!

Also, replaced spark plugs 6 months ago. This problem slowly started around 6 months ago after an oil and air filter change.

I'm going to be getting an A2 motorcycle license (I think) soon, which I believe is the one you get before you're 21. I'm wondering, can I use that over in the USA to ride certain power motorcycles or scooters? I'm from the UK. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks :)

I don't wanna sound like I'm being dumb or anything but i always wanted to know if its me or not but... why do i mostly see that people who hook up import cars seem to get pulled over way more than people who drive the American cars? people always say to me I'm just being dumb or what ever because i have an import car but i have noticed that police pulls import cars way more than american cars. From what i've been told and been through with porlices, the polices told me because my car is to loud. For one thing i know my car isn't really that loud when my car passed the test's for exahusts. I was at 0.3 on their scale. Can't really even hear my car. I always see american cars thats really loud driving by a police but instead of them getting pulled over i was the one getting pulled over. A lot of people say because we always race witch is not true... It's like any car lover out there its a hobbie for us and its what we do. I just want to know what others think about this.

I have a 2003 Chevy Impala that is having problems starting. It is not the battery or the starter, I don't think. I believe it is a problem with the computer and a security lock out. In the past, when the car wouldn't start, if I would let it sit for 15 minutes it would then start. Last week the resting period didn't work anymore, but when my husband switched it from park to neutral it started. All of this ties in with the manual and a security lockout. However, since it isn't starting easily, I don't want to get it to a repair shop that can't fix it and have to have it towed away. Our local Chevy dealership is not trustworthy, so I don't want to take it there. Any suggestions on where else to try?
