Dealership horrors? Massive repairs 20km past warranty they wont cover? Crap outs that cost thousands?

I recently swore off them for good, and I many know others have.. Tell me why you've dumped your Chev, packed in your Pontiac, and gave up your GMC..

Background info: 1998 Pontiac Grand Am. When knob is turned from OFF to any other position the A/C or Heat comes on. The fan speed control knob is a separate knob and it does not have it's own OFF setting-just low-to-high variable settings so the turning the airflow position switch from OFF to any other setting causes the air to flow automatically.
The Problem: Turning this system on causes all of the dash indicator lights to come on(Oil,Engine,Brake,etc.). Additionally, the gear shifter will not come out of the Park position. The person who own's the car has been replacing a '20' fuse in the under-the-hood fuse box. The fuse that is being burned and replaced everytime this happens is the center, aft-most fuse-(furthest from the bumber,closest to the driver, middle fuse of 3 fuses on that aft-most row). OBD-II codes showing are: P- 753 & 758(shift solenoid 'A' & 'B' circuit electrical), 740-I have this one covered, 1665-n/a,1676-n/a, & 1860- TCC PWM solenoid CKT electrical. pls help.

which way does the rod for the kickdown transmission linkage that is parallel vertically to the engine, move when engauged at full throttle, up or down?also where can i get the rest of the linkage for the kickdown? the linkage on my engine stops at the top of the engine in the back after it runs up the back of the engine.. it is missing the rest of it that runs parallel to the top and across to hook up to the carb

I noticed your replies to a previous "inquirer" about hooking up the 6x9's and subs to an equalizer. I'm going to be purchasing a new mazda soon and don't want to get rid of the factory HU. I was going to put in an equalizer to adjust the sound to my likings. I have hopes of installing two 6x9's and one 8" sub in the rear deck of the car. I want to power them with a kenwood 2 channel amp with a tri-way crossover (which I guess I need advice about that too Lol!). The equalizer I'm looking at has specifics for the subwoofer itself. To me, that seems like it would help prevent the higher frequencies from getting to the sub. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I wouldn't want to mess up a system. I'm asking you directly because I've read over several of your answers to audio related items and they are clear and make an incredible amount of sense to me. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

I recently bought an old truck for parts for mine and it does run so I figure I can drive it to my house, but it would only be on the road for the day I drive it and then get parts removed, somebody told me my insurance company could temporarily cover it for that day, but does the BMV have something like that like a 3 day plate or something like that. I live in indiana.

My 1995 gmc sonomas hazard lights are always on and there is a clicking noise under the steering colum that clicks with the hazard lights right as soon as the battery is connected and my truck won't even try to start and I know that it's not the alarm system because it's been disconnected for years and I also know the key is in the off position and the truck doesn't have any remotes, I also know that the starter is screwed because I took it out and tested it and it doesn't work at all. so if you have any other suggestions please help because I have to get my truck running good so I can put it on the road.

If any of you are Porsche experts, please help.

I have a 1978 924. I recently blew the old engine after a timing belt failure, so I found an engine with 50k miles to put in it. This engine started in the original car it came from, but now that it is in my car it starts up, and idles for about 5 seconds at 900rpm. Then, it just dies and blows air/smoke back through the air intake with a poofffffffffffffff........ help. :)

They didn't contact us about it until a month later. Then once they did they tell us, they told us that we needed to come back and refinance the truck with the amount they messed up on, which was 7000 dollars. I told them it was their mistake and that I am not paying anymore for the truck. They proceeded to send me a letter threatening to sue me if I didn't. I hired an attorney and we are now waiting to see what to do next. In the meantime, I have been receiving letters from numerous finance companies thanking me for my recent credit application. BUT, I didn't do any. So, what I found out after calling them, is that they are going behind my back without my consent and trying to re-finance the truck. I have gotten about a dozen letters. Then, to top it all off, I haven't received my tags for the truck. It is going on 3 months. I called DMV and they said that there is a leinholder in Alabama that has the title still and that is why I haven't gotten the tags. Help???

My 06 Dodge Stratus is leaking only on the passenger side when it rains. It happened a few months ago and I took it in to be checked. They said it was an A/C hose and repaired it. It happened again, and today they said it was the door seals. But nothing is wet but the floorboards, in the front and back of the passenger side. Any ideas?

my 1995 gmc sonomas hazard lights are flickering at the same time my truck clicks and my truckes electronics come on but the starter won't work either so I took out the starter and tested it and it's screwed but the hazard lights and the clicking is still going so I have no idea what it could be. If you have any clue what it could be then please tell me and try to give me the best info you can thanks.
