So who has seen or test driven the new Type S? I went to view it yesterday and was completely unimpressed. Don't get me wrong, the TL is a great car (mine is an '05), but the new back lights don't look nice, the lip spoiler doesn't look good, the new wheels look like the Altima S-ER. All they did was put a bigger engine in, tune the suspension, put in bucket seats and add Bremo brakes. Other than that, it's my car. They were also too lazy to put in an iPod hook up, instead just adding a cheaper AUX. I’m also concerned about the 61/39 weight ratio, and the fact that the 2007 Nissan Altima SE is going to have more torque for $10,000 less.

Sorry but I am not going to spend nearly $40,000 on something like that. Am I missing something, or did Acura not do enough to step up to the plate in 2007?

spending THOUSANDS upon thousands doing up their cars? Last night whilst talking to a mate outside her house her brothers mate pulled up in a - granted - stunningly beautiful car - and proceeded to show us all the interior extras etc etc and then said he had spent over 40,000 doing it up - hello like WHY??? He could have a brand new top of the range car for that.
Why do people do it - attention or enjoyment or what - all I know is If I had 40 grand I wouldnt be spending it on a car!!! xx

A few years ago subaru brought out a super Legacy that was a twin- turbo. I think they are all gold in colour, have a big rear spoil and goes very very fast. Does anyone know what this model was called?

I see the most innocuous questions put by people who just want a sensible answer or point of view. Then you see the answers posted by total self-righteous, up-their-own-**** hypocrites calling them sad, muppets, shallow, perverts - I was even called a silly boy the other day. Are these people really serious, or are they having a joke?

Is it safe to cycle on the urban roads of Britain?
Cycling seems safe enough apart from the potholes, the danger comes from the motor vehicles.

I mean how are their base of supporters which supports a bridge is made?If it is with cement, does it gets fixed under water?Or if it is done after putting soil upto water level, wouldn't there be some other problems like erosion if the water is flowing? These all are only something what I thought when i saw a bridge which was supported by some pillars whose base was from a flowing large water body.Actually I want to know how are they made from water.

Car just had its 96000 mile service. Its a 1.9 HDI Rapier 2000.

Mechanic reported work that still needs attention. It is as follows:

"Tensioner and roller visually ok but should be replaced to gurantee. Needs new P/S & AC belt. Middle exhaust pipe broken at back box. Requires new back box and centre pipe."

I have no idea what that all means - apart from exhaust problem. How important are the other reported faults to fix? How much will they cost roughly? Can an average tyre and exhaust centre fix the exhaust prob and if so roughly how much will that cost.

Thanks

I found a 1968 Chevy Corvair Convertible for sale the other day, and it is selling for $3,000. The body is in decent shape, it runs ok, and the top and interior could use a little tlc. Is this car worth $3,000 or should I be kinda suspicious like I am to what else is wrong with it?

I'm taking my car into inspection today, and this is my first time ever doing this. So I was wondering what the exact list is that they ask you to do.
