...I admit, I know NOTHING about cars. My CEL was on, and the diagnosis code was P-0117, which as I understand it, is a problem with my ECT [sensor]? I have a '97 Honda Civic Hatchback. I recently had a new thermostat and radiator put in, and the CEL went on shortly before I got those 2 things done. Before I take it in to a mechanic, I want to make sure it isn't something I can fix myself... (ANY input would be MOST appreciated)

I ride a cruiser and I've been looking to purchase a small helmet know as "lids" that is DOT approved. Most of the small helmets that I've tried are still too bulky. I bought one thru internet "Skid helmet", but it is still too thick. I want a small slimmer helmet that is DOT approved. Where can I get/buy it?

Truck was intermittently stalling, no Check Engine Light or codes but symptoms pointed to TPS, so I changed it. Now getting Code 122, seems like maybe the new TPS is bad.

I'm getting a 1997 Nissan Maxima. Its metallic blue. It's got 64,000 miles on it, power windows and locks, power seats, tinted windows, it's practically brand new, theres nothing wrong with it. Its in mint condition. And it has a Bose sound system with a 6-disc cd changer and speakers in the trunk, remote control for the player, and an alarm. All i need to buy for it is 2 speakers. I'm paying $1,800 for it. I think this is a pretty good deal. How nuch do u think this car would be worth if i decided to sell it? Not that im gonna sell it, this is too good a deal to pass up. But i was just wondering.

I take it they write down numbers of trains or something in their little book?!? WTF IS THAT ABOUT!?! Why do you want to collect lists of numbers?!? Is it an obsessive compulsive disorder or something? I can understand why a train enthusiast might take pictures of steam trains or something but writing numbers of the next intercity train going past Chelmsford station?!?! WHY?!?!

Each time I have to stop at a traffic light while driving, the acceleration on my car will hover between .5 and 1. When it gets close to .5, the car makes kind've a grumbling noise and it vibrates a bit. It goes away when the needle swings back closer to one....It will do this repeatedly for as long as I am stopped. Anyone have any ideas?

I understand that at rush hour all the lanes are needed, but if the highway is 20 - 30% full and moving 10% faster than the posted speed limit, what would make someone think that it is OK to drive at the speed limit in the left hand lane? Is it ignorance? Do they not know any better? Is it a complete disregard for courtesy? Are they the boss? Why?
