My car just got stuck in the middle of the intersection. It's a 2002 Toyota Camry and it's been getting its oil changed regularl via the local Toyota dealer. However, my better half recently got it changed at Jiffy Lube. Could this be the culprit? or is a gear slipping caused by something else. Any ideas? The oil is still full, radiator looks okay, anything else I can look at?

TIA!!

I had my 96 Dodge Intrepid towed to Des Moines Chrysler for diagnostics. While rolling my car down a hill into the service garage, they managed to crash it into another vehicle. They have estimated the engine reapirs at $800 and the accident repairs at $1600. The $800 is more than I want to spend to have the car fixed. They said they won't fix the damage they caused unless I get the car repaired. They attempted to give me a great deal on another car but they declined my offer. They haven't given me a loaner and are wasting a lot of my time. What is a guy to do?

I have a 2003 Neon. I have heard that if I allow my car to run completely out of gas it will do something to the computerized stuff in my car and then my car will not run anymore. Supposedly it will cause permanent, irrepairable damage. Is that true?

Everything's been changed-out except the wires, fuel pump, egrvalve and check valves. All new hoses, dist.cap, rotor, plugs, fuelfilters, oil, air cleaner, breather, pvc, each thing seems to feel better, but condition still exists. I get to work at 7am, but lunch or coming home, starts fine but a block away, stopped at a light, idles good, light's green, give it gas, and blaah..restarts get it in gear and I'm going but hesitates and if I let off the gas it dies again....or doesn't. Then runs great for two days.?!..I need to lose this stress. Could egr cause this, because smog tech says I need another one to pass smog but he says egr won't effect engine performance. True? What about octane?

Today on the way back from work I saw the strangest thing. A dual exhaust V6 Honda Accord?
Personally I think that looks stupid.

i'm fitting a jdm motor into a 67' porsche 912 and wanted to run a header off each side, to a turbo on each side, that feed into the same intercooler to avoid all the calibration mess. if i split all the sensor wires and such and let the car think there's still only one, shouldent that work?

Is there a certain type of damage I should look to get when doing a repairable car, front or rear? air bags deployed or not deployed?

I got rear-ended a couple of months ago. I finally decided to put the car in the shop and have arrangements to do so Monday. I also made arrangements to get a rental. Isn't there some law that says you have to be 25 to rent a car? I'm 24. Neither the insurance company nor the car rental people told me that age might be a problem. Am I in the clear? (just want to be sure)

Also, my car is an almost-new (and very beautiful if I do say so myself) Toyota Camry. The guy at the rental place told me I was getting a Chevy Aveo. Can I call his insurance and ask very politely for an upgrade to a larger automobile?

Thanks, you guys!

With the recent incident surrounding the Yankees pitcher with 95 hours of flight time, is it safer statistically for a person who has recently picked up private flying, or safer for a motorcycle rider perusing the dangerous public roads?

I took it to a friend who said he thought it was the intake. Anyone had this problem, if so how much was it to repair? Is DexCool actually needed for this car or can the regular (green)antifreeze work?
