Hi, My Land Rover LR3 brand new 2006 purchased 04/01/06 since then I have "Check Engine" light on for no reason. no gas lid open or anything I did. I took to the dealer and they fixed with reprogram computer and such. Finally 3 days ago 8 different light on at indicator and automatic shift doesn't change so I had to drove 10-20 miles on 45 miles street(which is mean people driving 50-55mil) The day purchased this car has already "Check engine" light on, but they said it's sometimes happen so bring back other day to fix. Now I realized I should returned on the day I purchased. Now seems Lamon Law is applicable for my case, but dealer said "Check Engine" light on means could lot of different reason so it is not same reason they fixed 3 times. Now 8 lights including "Check Engine" on and they mentioned that Lemon isn't suit for my case. Is that really not suit for Lemon case for "Check Engine" light came on more than3? I think they fail to fix it in the past so it was huge fix happened.

I decided about a year ago to dress like the "avid outdoorsman" I am. So I threw away all my jeans and Macy*s clothes and have worn only zip-off nylon pants, cross training shoes, Teva sandals, button up rayon or polyester shirts, and nylon t-shirts. I look like I just got back or am just leaving on a hike ALL THE TIME.

Now, I'm beginning to pursue my passion for auto mechanics, though I still love backpacking, and wonder if I can combine the two or I'll have to dress completely differently? I don't want to be some sort of Nascar type, I'm not interested in auto racing. More about small 4X4's like CJ7 and Scout 800, classic cruisers like the '64 Lincoln Continental, and making good use of Japanese cars.

Of course I know you need more than the right clothes to be an auto mechanic and builder. But the scope of this question is limited to just that specific area, please.

Could you help me with this situation? I had co-signed for an ex-lover to purchase a vehicle about three years ago. I haven’t heard from this person in over two years. I came home Wednesday night to find the vehicle sitting in my driveway, with the keys, and the registration in it. There wasn’t a note or a message or anything.
I called the finance company and they had told me that the payments where always made on time except for the last three months. I also found out that the registration was three months behind as well as a few tickets on it.
So, I made the payments to the finance company to catch it up. I am taking care of the registration and tickets. As well as added the vehicle to my insurance.
Now I want to protect myself if I am going to take on the financial responsibility of the vehicle.
I am unable to reach my ex and I think that he may have even left the country for a period of time.
The registration lists him or me as the owners of the vehicle. Which is apparently different then if it was listing as him/me.
DMV is telling me that this makes it possible to remove him from the registration of the vehicle with out his signature.
Now DMV will not remove him from the vehicle until he is removed from the loan from the finance company. The finance company is telling me that I need to refinance the vehicle and take on a new loan myself.
O.K. sounds easy enough. Right?
Well, I am trying to refinance the vehicle and nobody will take it until DMV removes him from the registration.
So DMV will not remove him until the finance company does, and the finance company wont remove him until DMV does.
Big problem!
It seems that the only choice I have is to continue paying the loan and keeping him on there as an owner. Once the loan is paid off, I can go to DMV and have him removed.
Now my question is how do I protect myself from my ex just coming over and driving off with the vehicle. Assuming that he has as much legal right to this vehicle then I do.
Is there a way for me to legally take over ownership of the vehicle without being able to contact him? Assuming he has just abandoned the vehicle? At least for now.
Do I as the co-signer have more legal right to the vehicle then he does? What can I do to remove his rights to the vehicle at this point?

find a list of vehicles that someone had previously owned? I don't have the plate number or serial number of the vehicle, but I do know that this person used to own it about 8 years ago and need to find out the exact make and model of it. Is there any way to get a list of titles that this person has held in the past by using the persons name instead of the vehicle information? I don't even know the year of the vehicle?
