I just had a full 120,000 mile tuneup and timing belt replaced about 10 days ago. Two days later I noticed the smell of gas and a day after that I noticed my car was leaking about a half quart of oil per day. I took my car to the nearest Volvo mechanic, which is not the same dealership I did the service at (Bill Kidd's Volvo in Timonium, MD). The new Volvo mechanic (Scandinavian Auto in Rockville, MD) is claiming I need a new fuel pump and will not be able to see why my oil is leaking until they do this service for safety reasons. When I had the tuneup done at Bill Kidd's, they had torn the fuel line (I believe) and replaced it. Now I am stuck here as to what I should do. Can someone please help me out? Of course, I believe that Bill Kidd's must be responsible for the improper installation of some parts for all of this to happen within two days of my getting the car back! I have invested over $2,000 in repairs, so I just need to figure out what is reasonable for this work.

This would make sence. no more noise, not really any loss in performance. doesn’t affect reliability, so why not???

have insurance? My car has insurance (my husbands name) one night i was driving thru a small town to get diapers (no licence) and got pulled over. The officer didnt even ask me for insurance he just gave me ticket for no insurance. The officer told me to explain to the judge. Today was the day i went to report on the ticket the clerk told me that its the law in texas that if you dont have a licence you automatically have no insurance. I asked to speak to a judge she said she wasnt there. I also asked for more time to aquire an attorney and she said she couldnt give me any extra time. However she gave me to 2 weeks to aquire the money and talk to the judge but not to aquire the attorney. Im thinking its probally cheaper to just pay the ticket. But first id like to find out if shes right about the law if its correct i will pay but if im just being scammed then i will do whats cheaper. Any knowledge please.....

Well i had an accident on sunday with a motorcycle. I was stopped waiting to make a left turn when this "05" Yamaha rear-ended me I think he was going at high speed. My "02" Impala has all its back badly damaged. The shop was shocked to see the car and surprised da motorcycle did this. And surprised the guy was ok. This guy doesnt have insurance or a license i filled a police report..My insurance will fix my car but now my insurance will go up...My cr doesnt have the same value.....What can i do?

I wouldn't have to put down any money, does this mean that they interest rate would be grossly inflatted? I didn't want to continue to talk to the car sales men because as you know they type of approach they take in customer assitance in the favor of themselves covered with speacial offers with all types of strings attactched and small print. What type of advice would you give a first time buyer like myself?

I have a idia on building 3 wheel motorcycles for people in
wheelchairs,some will nead hand controls,and a way on and off by

1987 Nissan Pathfinder, lacks power. When it gets to about 45 mph, the engine "shudders" and will backfire until I get to about 50-55. Then it will accelerate slowly.

My car has HC's (hydrocarbons) that are slighty beyond the max 100:116 while in idle, but they didnt warm up my car and the auto shop was right across the street from my apartment in the morning when I took it. I think warming it up prior to the smog check should pass it. Any other ideas?

I am in the market to purchase a used Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry. My current vehicle is a 94 Toyota Landcruiser but I am looking to downgrade as my commute to work and current gas mileage just do not agree. I have leased Honda Accords before 96 Accord EX, and 98 Accord EX Coupe. I never had a problem with my Accords (except for the reacall on the 98) but that was years ago.

I would like to know from peoples experience and personal knowledge what if any problems or reacalls they are aware of in Accords and Camrys between the years 1994-2004. Particularly, if there are any model years that I should stay away from.

I was driving down the road yesterday and my Radio just shut off. I got back home and checked the fuse and it was fine. I can't re-enter the code because there is no power to it. The Anti theft light is on in the upper left hand corner. It is the bose 6 disc changer. has anyone ever heard of something like this?
