Take a Scion tc. Put the V8 430 engine in it. Package it with some luxury trims (leather, wood, navi, etc), add a couple of air bags, replace all Scion badge with Lexus. Add a $50,000 price tag. There you have a new Lexus supercar!

I saw the new 3 series coupe and totally in love with it. I am planning to get one, but as usual, the options are way too expensive. So my plan is go get one with only Steptonic for option. Then I'll go install CD changer and Navigation from other places. Is it a good plan or not? Would it screw up the look of the dashboard? Cause electronical problems?

I want safety first, design second. I don't care about fancy graphics or patterns. I want a quiet, well ventilated helmet that doesn't cost $450. Arai? HJC? Shoei? What about Bell?

I just had a full 120,000 mile tuneup and timing belt replaced about 10 days ago. Two days later I noticed the smell of gas and a day after that I noticed my car was leaking about a half quart of oil per day. I took my car to the nearest Volvo mechanic, which is not the same dealership I did the service at (Bill Kidd's Volvo in Timonium, MD). The new Volvo mechanic (Scandinavian Auto in Rockville, MD) is claiming I need a new fuel pump and will not be able to see why my oil is leaking until they do this service for safety reasons. When I had the tuneup done at Bill Kidd's, they had replaced fuel pipe. Now I am stuck here as to what I should do. Can someone please help me out? Of course, I believe that Bill Kidd's must be responsible for the improper installation of some parts for all of this to happen within two days of my getting the car back! I have invested over $2,000 in repairs, so I just need to figure out what is reasonable for this work.

I'm a 23-year old woman living in North Carolina. I'm getting my license for the first time and desperately need *affordable* car insurance. Problems? I am an orphan, so I can't be added to my parents' policy. I don't live alone, but cannot be added to my roommate's policy. Most insurance companies have told me that b/c I don't live alone, I can't get a nonowner's policy, which is fine, but the prospect of paying $5,000 for a 6-month policy is unimaginable. Does anyone know where I can start? I will get my restricted license (restricted due to NC's financial liability requirement) next week and need to get insurance and a car ASAP. HELP!
