I don't want to put on a better muffler, or one that makes more noise like what all the kids like today. My 1995 Ford wagon needs to get it replaced, and I would like to know if I can do it myself because I'm cheap.

Hi, Everyone! I don't know much about cars.
I drive a 1997 VW GTi VR6.
Somebody told me that the rear brake pads and rotors of my car have to be replaced.
I know I have to because they do make a squealing sound.
However, I would like to know if it is necessary to replace brake rotors as well.
What happens if I don't replace both of them. (I don't always drive. I just want to save some money :)

it barely passed....HC ppm limit is 65 and the reading was 65!
the guy at the shop said to start using a gas treatment called "BG 55K" My question is should I use this treatment or is this guy trying to make money off me? Also, more importantly, is it safe for the car? My friends dad told us never to use fuel injector that you pour with your gas, because it's actually bad for the car!

Sorry, but I would like an URL photo for an answer...It is a plain swept-back chrome hood ornament with wings. It is very simple wing no distinquishable features whatsoever--it is in mint condition. It is roughly 13 1/2 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide just behind the wings, and wingspan is 6 inches in the rear.
The mounting bolts are in the middle and in the rear. The first half (the "head" and front half of wings) extends beyond the front hood mount.
It is designed with three spines. A "backbone" spine and two side spines to give the piece a triangular look when "looking down the breach" and four spines looking down the barrel" (the fourth running underneath the ornament and terminating at the hood in front of the front mounting bolt.)
It is aftermarket and stamped with "Univex" and "PT 475209" as a part number.
I am tired of google searching after so many hours...do you know?

The motorcycle was stolen and hotwired. It was recovered by the police and I rode it home w/ the hotwire. The next day I reconnected the wires to the ignition but there was no power. I disconnected the wires and tried to use the hotwire again but no power. The lights didn't come on and the bike is dead. I checked the battery and it's good. I checked the main fuse box at the front right of the bike and all those 10 amp fuses are good. There may be some intermitent fuses that I don't know about. Is there a fuse that usually blows when a bike is hotwired? I just don't know where to go from here. Can somebody out there help me out?

if gas has gone down at the pump so, why arn't airlines lowering thier rate? they raised it and blamed the price of a barrel of oil.

Brakes locked up this morning about 1/2 block after start up, felt like emergency brake was stuck on, then lost all brakes, they go to the floor like stepping on a plum, when car is off they can be pumped up but when ignition switch is turned they are to the floor again. No fluid missing or noticibly leaking from anywhere took off all wheels and inspected no visible probs, checked all fuses and relays I could find or think of, auto store said it sounds like a problem with the anti lock braking system? Not sure what to check or if I will be able to check or test any of this, do know that of the 4 parts they told me about for the system at the auto store the price was 650-1250 and that is not feasible or worth it. Can I disable the anti lock system? and drive without it? where shoule I look? Is any of this doable without taking it to a shop and having them put it on a machine? ANY help or advise would be appreciated GREATLY!!! Thank You in advance!

i want to convert it to a 90's EFI. swapping the engine and tranny is no problem but i'd like to find some info from people who have done similar conversions and any problems and solutions they encountered regarding the computer and the EFI

ok i hooked up my car system, but i only have a tape player in the car, and that is how i used to use the ipod. See, now i have a system with an amp and sub, is there anyway i can make the ipod work in my car without buying a cd player or the crapy fm tuner. if there isn't, how can i connect my ipod to my system inexpensively (so my sub would work with it), with a cd player? I have a 2000 ford taurus if that helps...

I am going out to learn to drive my boyfriend's car tomorrow and I am terrified to say the least. I have been driving automatics for many years (I am 27) but have been too scared to learn to drive a standard. My boyfriend and I have been together over 2 years and have a new baby and I am trapped in the house if he isn't here to drive me. I got rid of my car a year ago because of money issues. Anyways any tips on how to conquer my fear? I am so worried about stalling at an intersection and having people honk and give me the finger!!!
