'm buying a car tomorrow, or want to anyways. I am a 21 female. I am paying cash for it and it seems like a good deal. 96 jeep cherokee, 160000 miles, great looking for 2000. I don't have a man to go with me. WHat should I do? Is it okay if I go by myself? Just take it over to a mechanic? DO I need to make an appointment with the mechanic first? And then take it back and let him know I wish to buy it? Help please.

I've taken my 2000 Audi A4 in for service many times now... and they can't seem to fix the problem. They say, "The computer diagnostics say it is running too lean, but that's it." They checked for leaks with the colored gas, they replaced the O2 sensor, they replaced the fuel injector... Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it???

3 is the sport mode for many cars. For my BMW its Sport 3. I like to go in S3 on the freeway sometimes, the acceleration is amazing. But of course the RPM is very high, sometimes getting past 6000 at over 100 miles an hour. I only use 3 very rare, but its really fun. not sure if its safe for the engine , transmission. thanks

Useing a Diesel pickup, if I went to a cafe and asked if I could have the old vegetable or crisco oil. I once heard that you could burn this stuff by just heating the oil first.

I'm very interested in purchasing a 96 nissan maxima from a seller. The thing is, the car has been lowered. I believe the way it was done was to cut something out of the car, I'm not sure if it was the struts or what. Some of you people may know. The car rides a little rough.

Anyways, I know it would be too expensive to get the car raised back up, so would it be possible to buy something else to put in the suspension, maybe shorter coils or something, to make it ride smoother? I really don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to this.

I can put up with the semi-rough ride, but it would be great if I can keep it lowered but improve the roughness with a minimal cost to me.

Thanks a lot.

I recently hit a car from behind while they were stopped, they ended up hitting the car in front of them, who hit the car in front of them and then they hit the car in front of them. So in total there were 4 cars involved including mine. I was going no more than 30 mph, I know I am responsible for the car directly in front of me, but if the other cars had kept the proper distance between them they wouldnt have hit anyone else. Am I still responsible for the other 2 vehicles damages or does it fall on the car the was directly behind them since I didnt actually hit the other 2 cars??

What is the difference between the mid 90's 4.6 liter v-8 engines? I have rode in both cars with the same engine in them, but the mustang seems to have so much more torque, and it hits the high rpms quick and hard. The crown victoria doesn't have the police package and it doesnt seem to have the same engine response. Can someone give me a link with some specs for these 2 engines? Or tell me what the differences are?

Thinking of buying a 2001 Honda Odyssey mini-van with 68,000 miles.

I am tired of American cars that spontaneously combust or have a financially fulfilling relationship with my mechanic.

I just want to know what kind of mileage one can reasonably expect.

Would appreciate thoughts on how much one might pay for this used car as well.

They come booming up behind you, tailgating, driving too fast - do they think they are indestructible? I think the guys who drive these huge trucks are short and insecure - what do you think?

I understand the ticket is not legally valid until it is personally served by an officer or a court officiator who obtains a signature, since it was not delivered in person at the time of the traffic violation and they can't assume you actually received it through the mail. Let me know your experience if you ignored one of these tickets. Thanks!

I think I have to change the oxygen sensor on my BMW. Problem is i don't know exactly what they do. In cold mornings the RPM keeps fluctuating and is very low, when it gets under 500 RPM, of course it stops. Someone told me the oxygen sensor might be the problem, not sure though. Thanks

My friend has a 1996 Dodge Stratus with a 2.4 Liter auto transmission in it. It does not leak oil or does not have blue looking smoke coming out of it or anything but she has to add 1/2 quart of oil about every 1500 miles. Where is the oil going? oh yeah, it has around 120,000 miles on it and she keeps it serviced very well.
