I am graduating from college this year but am planning on doing a 1-year graduate program. I had my own car that my parents bought me but it was totalled in a freak accident. They purchased a new car with the insurance money and I got my dad's old car. Technically, the car I have is supposed to go to my brother and since we won't be living together next year one car between the two of us won't work. Most car loans I have looked at have an immediate income requirement and unless someone "holds" a job for me while I'm in grad school the most I will have is $300 a month in income. I am thinking of trying to take out extra money via student loans since this will be a "necessary" expense for my schooling. Any ideas/suggestions?

ok so im in AP Economy and i need to research on how the rail cargo system in america works, and i have noooo clue. Please help!!! specifically, how would a cargo container containing normal boxes of products get from the Port of L.A. to a nearby rail depot then to Chicago. How much would it cost, and would the same trip be completesd if the cargo was dry bulk, liquid bulk, or hazardous materials?

I just bought a 2000 model Nissan frontier crew cab, the owner said that it had keyless entry but didnt have the remote. Anyway, I had the truck in my driveway with the doors locked and I opened it with the key to get something out and left the door open, a couple of minutes later the alarm went off and I had no remote to disarm it so I unhooked the battery and now the truck is sitting out there and if I hook the battery back up the alarm continues to go off, any help is greatly appreciated, thank you all.

When I turn the headlights on, the driver side lower light does not work (orange light). When I switch the turn signal on, it works. When I turn the hazzard lights on, it works. Just when I am driving with the headlights on, it doesn't work. Obviously it is not the bulb. Checked all the possible fuses, and they all were fine. Is this a wire problem, and something I can do myself. Also, what would the price margin be.

i just thought about this driving down the road, and some jack azz was behind me, do they make the speed limit, just to protect you from driving to fast and wrecking, or does it actually save you gas also?

I know what traffic light is, but I don't know what the signs indicating for one to "drive carefully as it is a school zone" or the "stop sign" and etc., are called. My friend said it's called traffic sign. is that correct?

You never see anyone under a firetruck working on it. You never see one getting towed either. The firemen keep them cleaned and supplied but who works on them? I never see them at a Jiffy Lube, Firestone etc. I never see them anywhere but at the fire station, going fast with their lights on or showing off for kids.

I got new tires weeks ago, and one has a tiny tear on the sidewall causing a flat. The shop says one guy there knows how to repair sidewalls (from the inside of the tire), and he'll determine tomorrow whether this one is fixable.

1. Should I even consider it?
2. I assume the warranty won't cover this; is it worth contacting the tire manufacturer? I have no idea how it got this tiny tear and am a little frustrated that this happened on less than 500 miles.

I was driving the car and it turned off all of a sudden. It will not start up again. The engine turns fine. The following parts are good:
-Timing belt still intact
-Battery with a good charge
-engine turns over
-Ignition coil in distributer is good. Primary coil has less than 1 ohm resistance. Secondary coil has 12K ohms resistance.
-Replaced ignition control module
I know there's no spark because I take a spark plug wire out and I see no spark when trying to start it.

I'm baffled as to what else it could be. The car has 286,000 miles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Women purchase half of the vehicles sold in the United States each year, spending over $80 billion. Yet, shopping for and buying a car can be a challenge for women who are first time car buyers or for women who had a bad experience in the past with a car salesman or dealership.

Was your last car buying experience an enjoyable experience?

I live in Texas and have to commute/drive up tp 50 miles total a day. I had a job previously that gave me a company car. (i lost it)...now I have a new job, and have a small amount of cash to work with, and do not want a car payment. I'd prefer to buy a car in cash upfront so I can minimize my monthly car payment options, but obviously, I dont want a car that is going to poop out on me and cost me thousands of dollars in repairs. Does anyone know what kind of car, model, year etc that I should buy that they have used or seen someone else use with relative reliability? Thank you!
