It is a known fact that a motor is powered by electricity like in a RC car, and that an engine is powered buy a fuel, such as gasoline. So why is it that when you go to an autoparts store looking for oil fro your car every can says MOTOR oil?????? I'm sure the people who make this stuff should be smart enough to know the difference.

I just got in a wreck TODAY :S with my 92 Honda Accord EX. Basically the engine parts are ok, including the radiator. I am just wondering how much ON AVERAGE it should cost to replace the HOOD and FRONT BUMPER.

You would think the wind would effect it while the car is in motion.

I've got a pretty bad brake dust problem on my 1995 Acura Integra GS-R. Mainly in the rear. My wheels are all brown in about a week's time. Anybody know of any tricks or some good brake pads to use to prevent this from happening? Are my brake pads in need of replacing? I also noticed that my slotted rotors are kinda rusted looking. Could that be the problem? Thanks for the help!

The rear wheels (or at least most definitely the driver's side rear wheel) on our 2004 Kia Sedona seem to be locked-up. When either in drive or reverse, the front wheels move the vehicle, but the rear wheels seem to not roll. I'm saying that it might just be the rear driver's side wheel because the van will move a yard or two, but that particular wheel has left a heavy tire skid on our driveway. The passenger side seems to leave a skid as well, but not as heavy.

The last time the van was operating properly was last night, when I drove it home in a heavy monsoon downpour. I went through a few deep puddles, but didn't bottom-out or anything.

Suggestions?

My 1990 Dodge B250 van starts fine then quickly revs itself up to 2500 to 3000 RPM. (In the winter months this doesn't happen, the engine just floods itself, stalls, and will not start again for 30 to 45 mins.)
I asked a mechanic who suggested the coolant temp sensor is faulty and it's telling the computer the engine is stone cold, even at normal operating temperature. As a result the computer is calling for massive amounts of fuel which it is dumping down the throttle body.

I checked the fault codes and got the following:
12- Power Fail (no big deal)
22- Coolant sensor out of range
33- Standard code for vehicle w/o air conditioning (so I'm told)
41- Alternator field control circuit open or shorted (I don't understand this one)
46- Battery voltage too high during charging, or system voltage too low ( Once again, I don't understand this one either. I have not observed any electrical issues at all)

A friend says a bad MAP sensor will cause this?? HELP!!

I am insured by worthless Allstate and also have uninsured motorist coverage as required by state law. I was not able to get the hit and run drivers license number because he quickly fled the scene. When I called Allstate about my accident they told me I would only have to pay a $100.00 dollar deductable even after I told them I didn't get any info on the hit and run driver. Then when I went to the local Allstate claims office I got a totally diffrent story.
The claims guy says if you dont know who the other driver is you have to pay a $500.00 deductable.

I kinked the fuel line by accident, and cut out the kink. I replaced it with gas hose and clamped it on each end. If I spray fluid in the carb the car will run as normal, but not on it's own. how do I reset the fuel safety shut off or pressure switch to make it run properly?

Should a car be cooled down first before opening the oil cap to add oil? I tried to open the cap just after I turned off my car, but it was really hot. I was afraid to open it....thought it might explode. Thanks!

The reason I'm asking is because this happend to my grandfather and now his brothers family want him to sue my grandfathers insurance. I'm just wondering if this is OK for a family member to do. I'm feeling a little Pissed at him and I'm not sure if I have the right to.

I have replaced the radiator and the water pump. It was fine for a week and then it started to overheat again. I have no idea why, the only thing I can think of is that the oil needs to be changed, would that have anything to do with the car overheating? And does anyone know any ideas why it is still overheating?
