I know you can make payments on your federal taxes, is there a certain amount you have to owe before making payments? Professional tax advice or answers based on experience are preferred.

Thank you.

I worked for an employer in 2005 who did not pay me for almost a year. In Dec 2005 i changed jobs and moved to another state. My old employer paid me all the salary he owed me in 2006. I have two W2 of 2006, one from old employer and one from new employer . I was wondering if it would be possible to ammend my 2005 returns, since that salary should have been paid in 2005. What would my old employer need to do to give a W2 of 2005? I would get into a lower tax bracket if that was possible. Your advice will be appreciated. Thanks...

I pay a non-registered provider to take care of my son, and pay cash $500/month and have no receipt. Can I claim it for child care deduction, if I only have her name and address but I do not have her SSN; is it still legal to claim this deduction?

I am a freshman in college and I have had 3 part time jobs. I know that I made under $10000 in the year and I was wondering how to file for taxes! I also moved to a new address so the forms I got from the businesses have my old address on it! How can I file for taxes and would I get any money back? The big question is, when is the best time to file!!

We have used our small town CPA for our business (trucking) taxes the last couple of years and recently she said she uses a program for each year. She didnt specify which one. I already have books and 1099s ready to go but for the cost would I be better off using something like Turbo Tax for small business? Im perfectly capable of entering numbers and I have all the information, is there an added benefit of having her do them?

First off I am a workaholic and from last year I have a total of 6 W2s from employers. I am wondering what is the minimum per employer that I need to claim... A couple of my W2s are very very low and I know tha having so many W2s can hurt ya in the long run. So, if anyone knows the minimum that I need to claim from an employer's W2 that would be great. Thank you.
