Hello! My family recently put our house in california for sale. As you all know, the houses in Cali are super expensive. My parents are planning to sell this house for 500K and buy one in Nevada for around 280K. Are there any laws in either states that will interefere with us just buying a house "cash" in Nevada? We have lived in this house for more than 6 years everyone in the household works but it's getting harder and harder to make the monthly payments for it. Advice please!

Does anyone here buy, refurbish, and then sell or rent houses? My dad is looking to get into it, but is kind of scared. He has excellent credit, so can get all the loans he needs to get started. And he also built his house himself. It's huge and really nice. I really want him to do this because he is so unhappy with his job and is getting older, so needs something flexible. Please, only serious answers.

I just thought it might be a nice gesture to place a bowl of mints on the table for those who come to look at the house. It's being shown by a realtor, not me.

Hi, I have been living in a house for about 4 year on rent. I moved out, but I left some of my furnitures there (not big ones small desk and things like that), after i left, the landlord has been calling me and screaming at me that house is suppose to be clean when I leave. I thought it was her responsbility to clean up for the next person, is it not?

My sister is moving to NYC soon. I live in CT and all of my friends in NY live in Manhattan. She's got a list of names of places to look for apartments and I am concerned that she'll live in a bad area just to save a little on rent. Can I have some input on: Astoria, Sunnyside, Long Island City, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Red Hook? Thanks

AT first they tried to get me to take a 80/20 loan which I didn't want to
take...and so I asked about a 100% loan...does anyone know if this is an
okay rate (7.5%)? He said that property values might go up so we might want
to purchase now...what do you think? Washington mutals payments were the
same or higher with aslightly lower interest so I don't quite get it. He
also mentioned at the top no mortgage insurance...what is that? I thought
it was required? Then it said with insurance...is that home owners
insurance?

We are going to look at more houses tommorow. Dan wants to wait a ocuple
months till we get some bills paid off (credit cards), but I am also
concerned about property values going up more, or interest rates to a point
that we cant afford to by a house. Any thoughts?
