I'm just nosy, I'm 28 and earn £16500 plus commission working in media sales (Scotland). Just interested if the national average of £23kish is really accurate and how much is due to regional differences.

It sort of seems to me that getting upset with the offshore companies is like getting upset with the person your husband or wife has an affair with...It is your husband or wife that you should be pissed at, not necessarily the person they choose to sleep with.

Shouldn't we be angry that U.S. companies would try to cut costs by outsourcing labor and parts to foreign companies? For instance, If microphone diaphrams (many are made cheaply in China) were brought from U.S. companies instead of from Chinese companies (assuming there are U.S. made diaphrams), the microphones would cost more, but it might create more jobs and keep money in the U.S. Likewise, if U.S. auto makers closed factories in foreign countries before closing the facotries here, cars might cost a little more, but more jobs would be retained. Is this thinking correct or incorrect?

It seems like rather than being pissed at the Chinese, we should, instead, say f*** you to the likes of GM, Hewlett Packard, ect...

If I have a $150,000 loan on a $150,000 home, I will have paid over $300,000 in payments by the time it is paid off. Instead of saving over $150,000 in interest payments by just paying cash for the house, why does everyone still recommend having a loan?

Why does having debt and a horrible amount of interest to pay build equity?

Yeah, I can deduct interest on my income taxes, but so what? If I still owe twice as much as what the house is work in interest, what's a couple thousand in tax savings?

Wouldn't saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest payments be worth just paying in full for the house to begin with?

Can someone tell me why, in detail, or is it just Mortgage lenders who say that all this debt is good?

Ok, I am starting a skin/ body care line and need help with a name. The theme is going to be the classic hollywood era 20's-50's and the names of products are going to have names that are similar to movie titles, characters, songs, etc.

I wanted to do something with the name Starlet. Please help.

I am also going to be opening a store and need help with that name as well. I am going to carry my line along with other high end brands like Laura Mercier, Frederic Fekkai, La Mer etc. I have a few ideas for the line, but not so much for the store.

Thanks for any input.

I work for a company that has had quite a few people declare bankruptcy on what they owe us, then as soon as the bankruptcy is discharged, they expect to come back as a customer. We are not a utility company or anything necessary like that. I was wondering, if we have to write off their debt, can we refuse to do business with them in the future?

When we bought the house it was only on my credit cause she was unemployed. So can they still come after our house? (Bank accounts now are separate.)

She has tons of delinquent stuff cause I will not longer pay it. I have no idea what all she bought. Enough is enough. How great is my jeopardy? How great is my woe?
