what's your opinion about it?

I love my fiance. very much. but i know when i am with him, a part of me is shadowed. he's a very intelligent man, and when we go out, he takes center stage. I wouldn't mind this if i didn't feel i never get a chance to voice my opinion. He's very engaged in conversations, and usually directs them towards others, so I feel uncomfortable butting in. This makes me feel very aloof in public situations with him. Not to mention that his friends think I have no opinion on anything, and am not very smart!
The thing is I am a very opinionated woman, and before I met him, I had great conversations with people. Now, except when I hang out with my friends alone, I feel like I am losing my voice.
I should also add that I am a writer, and I feel this loss of voice is slowly creeping into my writing as well.
In a nutshell, what can I do? I tried to talking to him, but it seems i;m asking him to alter his personality, which I don't want to do. It seems all I wnat t do is prove that i'm smart

So, my boyfriend is 17 years old, and owns 2 books, both of which are wrestling-focused (one is the autobiography of a deceased wrestler, Eddie Guerero, and ther other is some kind of picture book =oS) I'm really into reading, and he's open to suggestions of books he might enjoy. I'm thinking he doesn't want heavy reads, but since he's 17, I guess anything sexual, violent or funny should grab his attention. Does anyone have any suggestions of books he might like? In TV programming he favours comedy, but I don't want to end up buying him a girly book.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In context with improving your writing.

How long should someone spend per day writing, with improvement as their goal?

Man it kills me. Every time my aunt comes over to visit from Hawaii, she always brings like two bagfuls of Macadamia nuts. It's like she thinks that we cherish them inland. It's like Macadamia after Macadamia.

Also, whenever they advertise something Hawaii, the only thing they show is those belly dancers, like doesn't Hawaii have anything else to offer? Frankly, it scares me from going to Hawaii.

Multi-part question (answer all, or some---just don't be snotty. If you just want 2 points, go to another question. There are plenty on here from which to choose!!)

If you've read the book AND seen the movie, did you like one or the other better? Why?
If you saw the movie, did you have a favorite scene?
In the book, a favorite line, passage, chapter?
And last, do you have another F. Scott Fitzgerald favorite?

Happy Reading!!!

People often take things out of context, but when it's supposed to be as important as the Bible, it shouldn't be argued over parts of it being fact or fiction, it should be understood completely, but should it be taken completely literally, or used metaphorically? Put your input in here.

Do you get them yourself or does the publishers get them? For photos. For example, a famous sports photo. Would I have to supply copyright info or would the publishers do that for me? Also how do non-fiction works' sources get cited? Author or publisher?
