Thirty days has September,
April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one
Except Octemburary, which has none.*

*(However, a bill has just been introduced in Congress that should ensure Octemburary of it’s full and equal rights.)

I don't remember the title and I think the author is Michael Moorcock, but I could be wrong.
It's a story about time travel and the protagonist begins his adventure in the Hymalayas in a cave where there are elaboratly decorated "doors". Once he enters a door he comes out on the other side in a different time.
Each time period is an adventure in getting back to the Hymalayas to that same spot.

My essay topic over this book is: Analyze what the raft symbolizes in the novel. Include how the raft fits into the theme of the novel.

I think that the raft symbolizes freedom for Huck and Jim, but I'm not sure how that fits into the theme of the novel because I'm not sure what the theme is.
Can any of you help me to understand the theme of this novel?
All help appreciated.

She sits in her corner
Singing herself to sleep
Wrapped in all of the promises
That no one seems to keep
She no longer cries to herself,
No tears left to wash away
Just diaries of empty pages,
Feelings gone astray
But she will sing

'Till everything burns
While everyone screams
Burning their lies
Burning my dreams
All of this hate
And all of this pain
I'll burn it all down
As my anger reigns
'Till everything burns

Walking through life unnoticed
Knowing that no one cares
Too consumed in their masquerade
No one sees her there
And still she sings
