I never read a romance novel in my life except half of one from Nora Roberts called High Montana or something like that. Normally, I read biographies, thrillers, horrors, and science fiction. Yet, I find myself searching for a novel about lost loves or unknown soulmates, (the man knows a person is his soulmate but the woman is unaware or visa-versa), and people in situations they do not want to be in. Any suggestions relating to this topic? Also, I don't want to read a book with flowery, mushy love, something more realistic, Thanks, :)

Do you like fanfiction? Do you think sometimes is better than the original story? Is it just a way to deal with the anxiety of waiting for a new book or new episode?

I was wondering about this. I've read a lot of amazing fanfiction authors (Cassandra Claire, for example) who also write their own stories, but do you think that maybe someday it will be possible to publish a fanfiction? I understand there's a lot of copyright laws, but could it be arranged someday in the future?

In my previous question, I asked how I could get a reliable and good publisher to publish my books (works of fiction, seven in number). Among the answers I received was the one advising me to get an agent, as publishers no longer take jobs directly from writers.

Now my quesetion is how can I be sure that my scripts would be safe in the hands of the agents. Is there no likelihood that they will try to publish my work under a new title, thus denying me the benefit that would accrue to me from my creativity?

To give you some idea of my taste, i like PD James, Jane Austen, Sofie Kinsella , Peter Mayle. I prefer humour, crime, everyday things, mystery, sensible love stories, etc. Not autobiographies or wa r stories , please ! Thank you.

So I read the Half-Blood Prince recently, and it sounds like Harry and his pals are going to spend the next book chasing after Snape and crew, right? So is the understanding that the next book will probably NOT be based much at Hogwartz school anymore, and instead will just take place at various locations throughout the country? It's assumed that Harry is DONE with his wizarding studies from this point on?

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth.

Its so easy to fall inlove.
So easy to fool someone.
So easy to make someone cry.
But, its so hard if your the one who was played, fooled, hurt and the one who cried.
