1) Halliburton billed taxpayers $1.4 billion in questionable and undocumented charges under its contract to supply troops in Iraq, as documented by the Pentagon’s own auditors.

2) Parsons billed taxpayers over $200 million under a contract to build 142 health clinics, yet completed fewer than 20. According to Iraqi officials, the rest were “imaginary clinics.”

3) Custer Battles stole forklifts from Iraq’s national airline, repainted them, then leased the forklifts back to the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) through a Cayman Islands shell company — charging an extra fee along the way.

I went to the hospital back in october because i was experiencing very heavy bleeding in a short time. They said it was only an abnormal period. My periods have been late since then and when I do have them it has been only spotting. I have had the pregnancy symptoms like swollen breasts, morning sickness, urination frequency, and increased appetite. I finally went to the doctor to see what was wrong and he did two blood tests in the same week. The first one came back positive but the second one came back negative. Could I actually be pregnant and the second test be wrong? I would be far enough along to know for sure with a blood test.

I am 26 years old, I took a plea bargain for a felony when I was 22. Fresh out of college at my first job I got involved with some people including my boss who was taking money from the company. Now I'm 6 months pregnant, am unable to obtain employment, have no transportation and am not able to obtain subsidized housing. I don't want to have to leave my baby at the hospital. My church doesn't have the means to offer assistance Are there any programs or something or someway for me to be able to take care of this baby that I am not aware of...Please don't tell me about how I made stupid choices and it's my problem...I know all this-I need help I have 3 months to find a way to keep this baby. Please help.

I had a scavenger hunt at my high school, and one of the items on the list was a roller skate key. I went down to the local antique shop, and I bought one for $2. First, I've become interested in the subject and was wondering about how much of an antique it very well may become. (Not that I'd sell it.) And Second, I was wondering about how I could renew it. You know, remove the rust.

I applied to my credit union for a used auto loan and was approved. They then told me I had to pay sales tax on the car for the loan amount which makes no sense to me since this transaction is between two people and doesnt involve the bank anymore than that they are financing my loan and no dealership is involved to pay a sales tax. Does this make sense to anyone or is this normal for bank to make you pay sales tax on an auto loan? My friend who I'm buying the car from is being required to come to the bank with me sign some paperwork as well. None of this makes sense.

I drive a Kia Spectra, if that matters. This seems to me to be one of those rules that used to matter, but with modern engines shouldn't matter. Does anyone have any evidence one way or the other?

I am teaching a student who will be moving to Taiwan soon. I'm teaching basic life skills in English but I'm American and have never been to Taiwan. Do they write checks there (How do you pay bills?)? What kind of appliances does the average home have? When does school start and end (times of day and times of year)? What holidays are important there and when are they? If something costs 1.50, how would you say that in words (in the U.S. we would say "a dollar fifty")? What kind of public transportation is available? Do you have to separate trash? Do people understand and speak English? How about Japanese? What are some things you might find in a supermarket that would be different from what you would find in other countries? Which side of the road do you drive on? What kind of bank accounts do you have? Do you get paid by check or is it mostly direct deposit or cash? How often is payday? What are some typical dishes there? Can you bargain everywhere? Any and all answers appreciated!

The only thing someone can claim they know 100% is the feelings inside them. What leads up to you having those feelings is a different story.

You could have a person feeling hopeless about the world, but lookout, here comes a book that supposedly has all the answers and addresses all contingences. So you "feel" you know now.

But what happened 2,000 years ago and everything that led up to that moment, you don't know. All you know is how it makes you feel. So in actuality, you don’t know anything.

I've lost my very important and sentimental scrapbooks with photos of my kids. I was working on them at my mother's house and they disappeared into thin air!! I've searched everywhere for them at her house & mine in case I brought them back home and can't remember (though I don't believe I did) one is pink and one is green. There is also a brown photo album that's missing along with the scrapbooks. Please help!!

I'm so bowled over by Jamie Lynn Spear's pregnancy I just had to ask this question. I'm floored by the number of young girls in society today after ALL the education and ALL the warnings about sex, it seems none of you heard it or care, and many of you are turning out welfare-riddled babies every day.

How many of you high school (and for pete's sake middle school) girls really understand sex? Do all of you know that once you get your period you CAN get pregnant? Do you realize that a horny boy is like a drunk boy? They will tell you ANYTHING to get into your pants, and then dump you when they find out you're pregnant.

Do you girls have a full understanding about what sex is, and how it only takes ONCE to get pregnant? Are you going to look up to Jamie Lynn now and want to get pregnant too?? This terrifies me as it seems sex is taken so lightly among young girls today.

Its so stupid to kill people. So why do people do it. I watch Court TV and all these crazy people, what are they thinking? I see people kill their wives for life insurance. You know your going to get caught. I see people who kill their children so they don't have to pay child support even though the other parent never was going to go after child support from the father.
