In chemistry, we are give a word equation (for example, lead(ii)oxide + water), and we then have to complete it and balance it in a chemical equation. How do I complete it? We also have to indicate the state of each reactant and product, which I can do. Here are some of the problems (but I really just want to know how to do it):

Aluminum + ferric chloride solution
Sodium sulfide solution + barium chloride solution
Carbon dioxide gas + sodium hydroxide solution
Magnesium nitric acid

I think I know how to start it (for example, with lead (ii)oxide + water, it becomes PbO+H2O-> XXX (I don't know what the XXX would be)), but I cannot find what type of reaction occures, and what the final product is.

I recently got a 2-gallon fish aquarium. I now have one platy and two guppies in it.

1. I got the food that the cashier recommended. I've always thought that you were supposed to feed them once a day (which is what I've been doing for years!), but the directions on the package said to feed them a few times a day!

This is a new brand of food that I'm using, would the feeding directions be different from another brand? How many times should I feed them then?


2. The two guppies seem to be picking on the platy. They're always following it around and pecking at it. The platy seems to always be trying to get away from them! If I got another platy, would that help them to stay away from it?

okay my entire basement has wood paneling. Unfortunately my room is in the basement. I am sick of looking at these walls. They don't match the rest of my pink theme.

I want to paint the walls, but I don't want it to be a big deal. And I don't want it to be too hard either.

My question is...

1. is it possible?
2. Is it more difficult than just painting regular walls?
3. Would you recommend it?
4. Would I have to remove the panels before doing the job?

Its been studied that, 5 ft of the suns surface burns off every minute, which means that at one time it was bigger, scientists now say that the sun could not be over one million years old, because it would have been so big it would have burn up the earth moon and surrounding planets, also its gravitaional force would've pulled the planets in, destroying them. this is one fact that supports a young universe.. how do atheistic scientists over look this? because it disproves a theory? please give me a serious anwser!

okay so yesterday i noticed that my right nipple is kinda hard when u push on it, and swollen and red around it. my left breast has always been a bit bigger, so i don't know if my right one is just growing or do i have something wrong that needs to be checked? my right one also seems kinda hard and stuff and kinds hurts but not really. so help!! thanks. oyeah and i'm only 13

i went on it to regualate my period and to help my acne go away. it did both. now im sick of it because im getting stretch marks and cellulite without putting on weight. i weigh 51kg and im 5'2. so im not big. im sick of these marks, i excersice and all and eat well. if i was to go off the pill, would i lose any weight? i was 46kg before i went on the pill. and if i went off would it stuff my body up fully?

My husband and I are in the U.S.He's the elder of two sons. We got married few months back, love each other a lot but some of his actions annoy me.He calls his parents twice everyday and update them on what we do and where we go. Its very irritating.On top of it, he expects me to talk with them once in two days.Although we discuss about what we want to do, they seem to have a big influence on him. They really put emotional stress on him. For eg,we want to buy a house in U.S but they always create a scene that we won't come back and we'll settle there. They seem to be considered and consulted with all we do.I also have brother and feel nice when my brother calls home and spends time with us but my parents always gave the lead role to the individual while standing by us. But my in-laws demand to know everything from us and they sometimes draw the bottom line also which my husband has no other go but accept at the end or else they create a big drama. This is making my anger grow inside
