" Lawmakers on Beacon Hill are set to consider a proposed ban on spanking children in the commonwealth. " I just read in the newspaper.

The problem is the current law does not say or guide about what’s prohibited and what’s not!
So people that violate are findind holes in this law and does who just want to give a few "slaps" are being punished.

Now we have " brats" yelling at grocery stores and cursing parents. I dont have any kids but I feel like telling them: Make whatever needs to make this kid quiet!!!!

Other situation was a friend of mine has a 15 year old that told her mother that she would call the cops or tell the school that she was being " spanked" if she couldnt get what she wanted..

How far we are going with this?

Ok, for my religious ed project, I need to write a paper on a saint of my choice for my confirmation name. The saint has to be important to you, and I love funny things, to make people laugh, etc. My teacher said that it's saint lawrence/laurence, but there are a lot and I was wondering which one it was...Thanks!!!

My boyfriend of 8 years has just moved out after 3 months. We had a breakup months ago for 2 years but always kept in touch and then realised we did want to be together. Things were great then past couple of weeks I've been a bit down after my cat dying and busy with work so I guess I was a bit of a nag and moody (woman!). He came home after work Friday and just left! He said he felt like he was living in MY domain and that he's sick of bickering about petty things. I knew we weren't really gettin on but I was ready to make it up to him. We spoke yesterday and he told me not to worry and that he just needs to get his head straight. He were supposed to hook up 2nte but he's ignored my calls. I have been calling alot lol but I'm really upset and hurt. I've just joined here and after reading some posts I decided to text sayin that he can get the rest of his stuff, Ilove him and don't want to fall out but I have to move on and all that jazz! Backing off..is this really the right thing?

We've been dating for almost 4 months. I know he's going to get me something, but I have no clue what to get him. He loves everything, and anything to do with cars, and hunting. I want to get him something personal, but I'm not very good at gift giving. Any ideas.

Is this Receiver/Dispatcher job legit? I contacted this person through craigslist and he emailed me with more info about the position. Basically, he sends me packages through the mail and when I receive it, I print out a shipping label and ship it out myself. He also states that I will be provided with prepaid shipping labels so I'm not spending my own $. This is what I have to do after I receive the packages:
1:CONFIRM THE RECEIPTS OF PACKAGE DELIVERED
2:I WILL MAKE ADEQUATE SHIPPING LABELS AND REGARDS WEIGHTS PROVIDED
AND HAVE THE LABELS SENT TO YOU VIA EMAIL(THE LABELS REPRESENT PAYMENT
FOR SHIPPING THE ITEMS TO THEIR DESTINATIONS)

3:YOU PRINT OUT THE LABEL AND TAKE THE LABELS AND ITEMS TO THE NEAREST
POST OFFICE,DHL OR FEDEX STATION,THE COURIER WOULD HAVE THE SHIPPING
SORTED OUT.

Oh and he wants a copy of my drivers license (send to him email or fax) for record purposes. Is this a scam???

I know the group size that is supposed to fit is the 92 but the newer M3's use the 48 so I'm wondering if I can use that because the 92 has to be special ordered.

I've got a 2002 Ford Focus Station wagon that I bought in August of this year, and since I've had it, it's had this consistent, loud, noise as i drive it. The noise is more of a roar, and it gets louder as i go faster... It's not in the engine or exhaust because i can rev it up in neutral and there is nothing. I had tread separation in my tires and I had them replaced, but I still have troubles with the noise. When I turn the car left, the noise is gone, and when it's going right, it's still there. Any ideas?

For all those who do not live in the uk you may not know that basicly we are not allowed to carry anything for self defence reasons weather it be a gun peper spray a swiss army knife
You could walk down the street get attacked and if you use any sort of force to defend yourself you can get arrested taken to court or even sued.

My question is there any way of defending yourself without facing being arrested or going to court. For example if you carried a pen that you use for wrighting and used them if you where attacked point being you use its not a weapon and you did not go out to use the pen to harm anyone and someone attacked you and you used it in self defence.

Would this work out or is there anything else you could do?
It is a sorry state when the people of the uk cant walk down the street and feel safe and when they are attacked the law is not on their side.

Who would actually wear high stiletto heels to bed with a guy? I think its very Hot and was wondering who out there actually would do this. And what about thigh high stockings (with or without a garterbelt)....I think paired with heels they are the sexiest thing a woman can wear. Just looking for a few more answers :)

And for those who have done it, how did it make you feel? Did you feel sexier/hotter?
Thanks!

Onions and potatoes are both root plants, right? And chloroplasts are for turning sunlight into energy, so since there's no sun underground does that mean there are no chloroplasts in onions and potato cells?

They both have parts like shoots and leaves that are above ground, so I guess the chloroplasts are in those parts instead?

Please tell me if my thinking is correct or explain if it's not.

Thank you!
