When I'm driving through city streets and I depress the brakes (and even after I release them), I hear this deep grinding/scratching noise coming from the rear of the car. I took the car for its oil change and also had the dealership check the brakes, and they said the pads and rotors are in perfect condition. But I still hear that noise!

It doesn't happen all the time, and it doesn't happen when driving on the freeway. It only happens as I'm parking, reversing or stopping at traffic lights. Any ideas?

Ok, here's the story:

I have just been accused of screwing up by a work colleague. It wasn't my fault. The mistake was made by SOMEONE ELSE in the department, when I was off sick (this person has now left) and only discovered now.

Basically this guy called me over, gave me a hard time about the whole thing, wouldn't listen to me and then when I told him it was someone else's mistake he told me he didn't give a ****.

Should I have to take responsibility for another person's mistakes? Was he justified in behaving this way, or is he just a w@nker.

I found a house that I love, but it was too small. I'm making a deal with the contractor to build a larger home that is of the same exterior and interior quality.

I will be paying half down and the other half at the mid-way complete point. I'm nervous about handing him a large sum of money and need to know what should be in the contract and who should look it over, other than my attorney.

He and I seem to be on the same page, but I need to know I'm protected. What do I do?

We've been married for several years. A few years ago she realized that she could not cope with having her own biological children and wondered if we could look at adopting an older child as an alternative.(additional stressors stemmed from her childhood which she does not wish to repeat or have a child that she might despise)

This has not been easy for me since I always thought that I would have my own biological children someday. She has told me if I want to get a divorce over this she wouldn’t like it however she would be ok with it since she knows that she can’t give me a biological child. Since I don’t believe in divorce to solve the issue, should I just get over it and eventually move towards adopting a child?

I am looking to buy my husband a GPS for his car this christmas. There are so many to choose from. He needs a GPS to travel around the state of Florida. He works everywhere in Florida and he is always getting lost and calling me for directions. I really don't know the difference between all of the GPS units I am looking at. I just want something that will give him detailed instructions to get him from point A to point B. Thanks!

My ex and I were only together 3 months but we had an undeniable connection. During the course of our relationship I was dealing with alot. Family issues that my ex saw and understood from the beginning. Towards the end again more family issues, a death (my grandmom) and a pregnancy scare. I guess he couldnt handle it was causing me to push him away but now hes gone forever. He doesnt even care what I was going through. He said you were a ***** for no reason. Hi.i use thermal fax machine which does not need ink toner/catridge but recently it produces very faint print-out for my incoming fax, sometimes even blank sheet.anyone know how to rectify this problem. if i fax out, wil the other party receive blank document too?it's been a rather old machine though..tks!

They are saying that nothing exploded and here we are. Should this be called Science? I think that it should be called a fairy tale and thrown in the garbage.
