what are your personal preferences for personalities? do you people like the humorous types, the studious types, casual, laidback types? or more the serious, intense kind of people?

do you think you're attracted to people with similar personalities like yourself, or do opposites really attract?

as far as body types go, do you ever find yourself attracted to people with the equivalent of your body, i.e do those curvy women like the muscular kind of guys? i know it's becoming an ever-increasing cliche about curvy, beautiful women dating the rounder, endomorphic kind of males, proof that the opposites attract rule exists?

unfortunately, l'm not one of those curvy women, more of a skinny, narrow-hip, 5"2 kind of girl and i actually do find myself attracted to males with the equivalent body type - the more slender (but not scrawny) kind. do you think we're all inadvertently programmed through socio-cultural influences to prefer people with similar body types?

what's your opinions?

I had an interesting conversation with my friend this weekend. I was eager to talk to him about religion because it would be the first time since I stopped believing. When I asked him what convinces him that God is real, he gave me the same old answer we're all used to getting: That he can't explain it with evidence, but things in his life have happened that have made him realize God is real, such as answered prayer, signs from God, etc. He basically gave me a few scenarios in his past where he has been tempted to do something that would have gotten him into major trouble, but because God told him not to do it (either by putting a thought into his head or by something happening that he interpreted as a sign from God), he didn't proceed with whatever the temptation was and managed to keep himself out of trouble.

I am inclined to believe he was listening to himself, and not God.

Either way, if it prompts a person to realize an act is wrong, is religion useful?

The puppy has only been with me for a few days now, and is having trouble adjusting to sleeping alone at night. I do not have a cage yet, and would considered it worth while to purchase one if it would help. I live in a small apartment with her and it is just us, but she is so small now that I am afraid of her getting hurt while she is laying in bed. The real trouble comes from her constant crying when alone, is there any way to help her get over that? It wouldn't be so bad, but my walls don't do much to block out the sound, so I lay awake at night feeling like a bad person, until finally I go and get her and spend the whole night trying to stay just consious enough not to roll over on her. It doesn't help that I am a big softy when it comes to training. Do I risk the posibility of depressing her if I all of a sudden try to put her in a cage at night? I am trying to establish a comfort toy with her, but she doesn't seem to be getting anything from it. What can I do to help?

Only Bush can tell you these types of jokes. In reality Bush knows that the Americans are so stupid that they will nod their heads in approval of whatever he says.

If there were to be an explosion in space, given that space is a vaccum and oxygen is absent, what would happen? I have been pondering this for some time and think that assuming it were a rocket there would be an explosion and everything would move outwards symetrically and in the same direction the orginal object were moving. If there were no oxygen and a fuel was some how set alight what would happen? I have a vision of a space station in flames.?!

So here's a little known, real-world fact about me.
I'm one of those (quite frankly awesome) people who inherited my Heterochromia from my grandfather.

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a genetic condition (I hate those who call it a disorder) which has given me two different coloured eyes. Think 'Australian Sheep-dogs'.
What would have been a warm hazel hue inherited from my mother, in fact only turned out half of what was expected. :P
I have the one hazel eye (if a little richer than normal) and one brighter green one with two hazel streaks through it.

During my highschool years I had a hard time as you would expect with a lot of name calling. At one point I bought some contact lenses and only used the one in my 'different' eye. That didn't work too well. However, growing up I got used to it all and now I think of it as a redeeming quality.

Have you ever met someone the same as me?

What's your take on this?

I guess it happens to me a lot of times. As I work with girls on assignments we interact a lot and sometimes spend hours together work in the lab. Then I develop some feelings for them. But this does not last long enough. Very soon I get back to my own selfish self. The same happens to these girls and things become as usual. I guess it is becoming a lot difficult to find the right person these days, someone you can associate yourself with, accept and be happy with. Do you experience such ups and downs in feelings?

I'm not talking about if you ask and the woman says no, I'm just wondering if there is ever a circumstance under which you wouldn't even TRY to get away with it.

And women how many men have you been on dates with where they haven't even tried anything?

My molecular biology of the cell book says that genomes have evolved through mistakes and accidents. With DNA polymerase having a high fidelity (I believe one mistake in 20,000 base pairs), how do you explain evolution from a common ancestor (I.e. an ape-like creature)? Is this the best it gets? Accidents and mistakes in DNA replication and DNA repair have created intelligent human beings. How so?

After all, there are no homosexuals, you can't speak out against the government, women are inferior to men, and conservatism rules the day. Sounds like a neo-con paradise. Why stay in the US where these clear neo-con principles are ruined by democracy?
