I stay home most of the time or I go to school (I have to of course), but it seems like a lot of people my age go out to parties and date and have big social lives or something. I've been to a couple sleepovers/birthday parties, but I never go to big dance parties where you get drunk and I've never slow danced with, kissed, gone out with, etc. guys. Am I weird? Sometimes I feel like I should be going out and stuff more, but at the same time I think it's dumb...because it seems like people are trying to have social lives to try and be normal teens. So...your opinions?

OKay, so i got this cat from my boyfriends sister and its back legs don't really work well and its sort of retarded. The thing is it was really sweet when I first met him, now (i got him today) he's just sitting under my bed hissing at me and not moving. Its really pissing me off that the cat won't just move or eat or something. I'm leaving it alone in the room and sleeping on my couch tonight because it freaks me out. Does anyone know how long it takes for cats to get accustomed to a new environment? cuz i'd like to get in my bed without fear of my eyes getting scratched out.

I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX and im changing my oil, but I cant get the bolt off the oil pan and i forget which way to turn it. I just want to make sure im not tightening it rather than loosening it to get it off. I've changed the oil myself several times before, but the last time i took it somewhere to have done cause i had a free oil change and they put the bolt back on too tight. Now i cant get it off.

The price was just recently reduced from $219,000 to $209,000. I was told that the seller was anxious to go ahead and sell because she has apready put an offer on another home. Naturally, I want to get the house for the best price possible, but I don't want my first offer to be a laughable insult either. What would be a reasonable first offer to make on this home. (BTW - this is about an average asking price for a house in this area of the same size, etc.)

ok my a/c works great for a limited time...then it just stops blowing cold air, it'll blow air, but its not cold. turn it off for a min, and it blows cold again....i've tried everything i could think of and nothing has fixed it. i live in FL and this weather is too hot to go without it so any help would be swell.

Well i try to be myself but my family make it almost impossible to be myself around them. I have completely different interests then the rest of my family, i mean everyone is different. But my brothers, sisters and my parents are always bullying and laughing at me for what im interested in. For example i like the show Futurama but since no one else in my house does they all poke fun saying how can you like that show, its like this with everything. They poke fun at what i wear, what i watch on tv, what things im interested in. I just cant be myself.
I have tried talking to them and saying it hurts me when they are always putting me down but they just say they are being truthful and keep doing it. I now confine myself to my room all the time and i dont talk to anyone much about anything becuase im afraid they will be nasty to me. How can i be myself without being picked on all the time??

Psychiatry is expensive and this is why I am here. I believe that talking(emailing) about your issues with a person who does not know you can help you solve problems. keeping things annonymous makes for honest comments. Does anyone want to here my problems. I set up a bogus e-mail just for this. I've been wondering about this for a long time. I find myself sometimes respecting certain people (regardless of gender) more than others because of their appearance.

Of course when it comes to people who are disgustingly ignorant or people who are astonishingly stupid, I tend to see these people as who they really are. Also people who have an amazingly robust personality or who are incredibly smart find a way past my hamartia, which is a good thing. However, this isn't always the case for me.

I know that it's wrong, and despite my efforts to abstain from it, it's a natural cognitive process. I have actually come a long way from how I used to be, but it's still an existing issue within myself.

Do any of you judge by appearance instead of personality sometimes? Be honest.

Is it possible that in the experiments done to test time dilation, there was only a physical effect on the atomic clocks that made it seem like the actual "time"has changed? Could it be the "relativistiv mass increase thing, or somehow the atoms in the clock were slowed down, but not due to time change?

ok. Here we go

I currently have a laptop and a PC. both windows. I have wireless broadband (netgear) and it is already set up on the lapto and working fine. It worked on the PC too, but unfortunatly i got a bad virus and had to re-install XP. When i put the wireless USB connecter into the PC, it comes up with found new hardware and then nothing. WHen i get into the internet, it doesnt work!! how do i set it up?
