A preacher retired and moved to the country to enjoy life and practice his hobby of yard work. Needing a lawn mower, he headed into town to buy one. On the way he saw a sign advertising a lawn mower for sale. He stopped at the house and a young lad came out to greet him.

The preacher asked about the lawn mower and the kid said it was behind the house. The two went to look at the lawn mower. The engine was sputtering along at idle speed. The preacher increased the speed of the engine and mowed a few strips. Satisfied that the mower would do the job they settled on a price of $25.00.

Later in the day, the young lad was riding his bicycle when he spied the preacher pulling on the engine starter rope. The kid stopped and watched for a couple of minutes. He asked, "What's wrong?"

The reply came, "I can't get this mower started. Do you know how?"

The kid said, "Yep."

"Well, how do you do it? Tell me!", the preacher yelled.

The kid replied, "You have to cuss it."

This is not meant to be a judgemental question. It has been something that I have honestly been thinking about for quite a while and have not found an answer.

To explain: awhile ago I saw a woman is a full burka with everything covered, even her hands. Her husband was wearing a tight polo shirt and designer jeans. I just didn't understand how the man could wear "western clothes" that weren't too modest and the woman was covered from head to toe.

I would appreciate any real and honest insights into why muslim men don't veil or at least wear traditional clothes when their wife is in full burka.

So DH and I are going away this weekend for our anniversary and the place has a great spa. The day I could go I will be 12 days past ovulation. So I most likely will not know if I'm pregnant this month yet. And it would be soooo early. The stress relief would be welcome but of course I'm paranoid. Yes or No to a massage? he has a 5 year old daughter by a former girlfriend, and has moved into my mother in law's house, which is right next door to me. his grandmother still has him on the "titty" and he is almost 30 years old. me and my husband have helped him and his daughter but things seem to get worse, the more we help the less he cares. he also has us feeding his child twice a month when she comes to visit..he pays her no mind, he goes and picks her up and brings her here and drops her out...any one have any suggestions????

I have the worst luck. I finally got a new car and today I was driving and my a/c stopped working and I kept hearing this noise. I was driving through down town Fort Worth, so I thought maybe it was just the noise around me (they were doing construction), but I got home and the noise is worse, (it was my car). When the a/c stopped working I smelt a burning smell. Could it be a belt? The belts don't look like they are running right. I'm afraid to go to a mechanic and get a diagnosis because I always get ripped off and I want to have an idea of what it could be. Hello. I have a peacock bass that is from 5-6 inches...i had him for a couple months...he is in a 55 gallon tank for now...the other day my tank got really green(gradually got like this) so i removed him from his tank and changed all the water and cleaned the gravel from his tank....water is crystal clear and at 80 degrees...not sure bout my ph because my tester isnt the greatest....anyway now my peacock bass wont eat anymore...he chases them but wont eat them...he looks perfectly healthy...colors are fine and his spikes stay up most of the time....i got him to eat one tiny rosi red but thats it...he didnt even try to grab it he waited for it to come in front of him....what can be my problem???please help me if you can! thank you!

After the winter I've had pieces of brick coming off my chimney. Since this is a 2 story home is there a permanent fix? I can't do it myself and was wondering if it will an expensive fix? The chimney is for my furnace not fireplace, any ideas appreciated, thanks. I live in northern Michigan btw.

We have a natural spring at the bottom of a hill but want to pump the water to the top of the hill for livestock so we don't damage the natural spring and have easier access to the water.

We currently have a 3000 gallon tank the natural water spring runs into and a pipe coming out of the tank to our pond. How can we incorporate this into our wind-mill/ water pump?
