In John chapter one Jesus is decribed as "The Word" is with God and is God (Meaning acting as) In Revelations A White horse is seen in chapter 19 I believe leading the armies of heaven (which is Michaels Job) and on his forehead is "The Word" and on his side is written King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Christ is mentioned in Isaiah as The Prince of Peace and Michael is mentioned as One of the chief princes. On top of that In the burning bush passage where God says his name it starts off The Archangel appeared then it says God spoke it does not mention the arch as seperate from God. So is Michael (he who is assuredly God in other scripture) Acting as God and was also Michael and could it be he is doing so because God is to pwoerful for us to hear or is he God alone?

I have three kids (11, 9 and 7) and we are going from San Deigo to Disneyland this Summer. I am looking for something fun to do on the way besides Legoland. Something non-amusement parkish. (We are from GA, so nature would be best.)

I had a dream last night that I was in an airport working. I went upstairs to get lunch. A air traffic controller directing planes etc. There was a man carrying two large football trophies, he was having difficulty with them so I decided to help him but when I did I was terrified as I feared I would fall off the edge of the restaurant as we were up very high and they were too heavy for me. I left him and went to pay for my food. This is when I met a guy who seemed very nice and was quite attractive, we started talking and he asked me out on a date, I accepted even though I had a boyfriend, two minutes later I was meeting his parents. The next part he was ringing a friend of mine telling them we were going to australia and getting engaged but I still had my original boyfriend and was freaking out. Thats when I woke up. Does anyone have any ideas what this may mean?

So I absolutely LOVE dogs. I have had one for over a year, and my asthma symptoms are managable with her. Allergy symptoms are minimal, however I know that the asthma is surely allergy induced. We recently got a new puppy, and my asthma is flaring up again. I have been taking allergy shots for over a year, but recently asked to add a seperate shot just for dog. I've only been on it a few weeks. Has anyone else had allergy shots for their dog allergies/asthma? Have they helped? How long till I see results? Thanks!

1. Go to college and obtain a degree or your life will be absolutely miserable. You can't get a half way decent paying job anymore without a degree. Employers will demand degrees for jobs that don't even pay much or require degrees. It doesn't matter what your degree is in...just get one. Get a degree in "Wine Tasting" if you have to...just get one. There's a position and pay ceiling in the workplace for non-degree holders. You will not break that ceiling without a degree. Get a degree, and break the ceiling. You don't want to be stuck in one low pay bracket. That will happen if you don't get a degree. Uhh, degree holders will compete for jobs with non-degree holders. Who do you think will get the job? Yap, you guessed it...the degree holder. Society is obsessed with degrees, you have to feed the beast by getting a degree or you won't be valued, and you'll live a miserable life. Satisfy all the college requirements no matter what you have to do. BEG, BORROW, OR STEAL...JUST GET A DEGREE. Degree holders are the masters. Non-degree holders are the slaves. Would you rather be a slave or master? Well, without a degree, you might as well be the slave. Degree holders are valued. Non-degree holders are not valued. If you don't have a degree, you're screwed. You might as well be dead if you don't have a degree.

2. Join the military (not the best thing to do) if you can pass the ASVAB, get through basic training, and technical school. The Air Force should be your top choice. The Air Force has higher standards of living. Actually, they have higher standards of everything.

Think that you are a very ambitious person and what matters most in ur life is ur career. So u fall in love with this guy but since he is not THAT successful u don't marry him. Instead u go and marry a VERY rich businessman so that he can aid in ur success. He however marries u because he loves u.
Then one day ur husband suffers badly and is broken and looks to u for support and says he doesn;t care about money as long as u r there with him. U like him a lt and u have grown quite attached to him but u want to leave him because he is worthless now. I left him. So why is everyone so mad at me?

My reason _ He is supposed to love me so why does he want me to share his misery with him and suffer ?

When the revelations of the Quran began, the Most Noble Messenger clearly proclaimed the Quran to be the word of God, and said it was impossible for any human being to duplicate it. If anyone disagreed, he ought to make an attempt to copy it, and should feel free to seek help from any source in doing so. None was able to take up this challenge and produce even a short surah similar to the Quran.

The Qur'an remains a book of inimitable quality, not only from a linguistic, but also from and intellectual, point of view. When Muhammad was challenged by his fellow countrymen to present a miracle, in keeping with the tradition of other prophets, he presented the Qur'an to them. The inimitability of the Qur'an is repeatedly emphasized in the Holy Book itself.

The Quran issued a challenge not only to the contemporaries of the Prophet but also to men in all ages. In order to demonstrate the incapacity and impotence of people to imitate it, it issued the following universal proclamation: “Were all mankind to come together and wish to produce the like of the Quran, they would never succeed, however much they aided each other”. (17:88)

It then modifies the challenge and reduces its scope by saying: “Do people imagine that this Quran is not from Us, and that you, O Prophet are falsely attributing to us? Tell them that if they are speaking truly they should produce ten surahs resembling the Quran, and that they are free to call on the aid of anyone but God in so doing.” (11:13)

Then, at the third stage, the scope of the challenge is reduced still further: the deniers are called on to produce only a single surah resembling the Quran: “Oh people, if you doubt the heavenly origin of this Book which We have sent down to Our servant, the Prophet, produce one surah like it.” (2:23)

A yet stronger challenge occurs in another chapter:

“Or do they say: 'He forged it'? Say: 'Bring then a sura like unto it and call [to your aid] anyone you can”. (10:38)

Since we know that some of the shorter surahs consist only of a few brief sentences, this final challenge constituted a definitive proof of the human being’s inability to imitate the Quran. Can the person of today take up the challenge of the Quran and produce a Surah like it, thereby conquering the stronghold of Islam and invalidating the claim of its Prophet?

Let us not forget that this challenge was issued to a people whose leaders were threatened by the devastating attacks of the Quran - their lives, their property, their ancient customs, their ancestors, their whole social position. If it had been at all possible for the Arabs to respond to the challenge of the Quran, they would have taken it up immediately, with the unstinting aid of the masters of eloquence that were by no means rare in that age. Thus they would have invalidated the proofs of the Quran and won an everlasting victory.

Quran has proposed a very simple challenge to those who oppose it. Why do then the deniers of prophethood choose roundabout ways, avoiding this direct method of confronting and defeating Islam? Is not because the door is firmly closed on meeting the challenge posed by the Quran?

It is not that they did not try to mute the challenge. Infact, they called into play all their resources in an effort to meet the challenge of the Quran, but all their efforts came to naught. They were unable to point even to a single error or defect in the Quran, and were obliged to admit that its words were situated on a higher plane than the thought and speech of the human being.

My sister in law has lost a TON of weight in only about 3 months (50 lbs). She said she did it by only eating once per day and even that is a small meal. She doesnt exercise at all.
But I thought that if you hardly ate anything you wouldnt lose weight because it would slow your metabolism. So is she lying or do I just not know the 1st thing there is to know about losing weight?

Maybe I've already exposed my prejudice by framing the question as such, but there's no denying the context. Today, millions of people from around the world are waiting for their chance to have the doors of America opened to them. Yet, all we hear every night on the evening news, and all we read about in the papers and magazines is about how terrible this place is. We all know too well everything that is going wrong. There must be plenty of things going right or we wouldn't have an immigration problem. Countries like Iran don't seem to have long lines of people clamoring to gain entrance.

If you still believe that America is still the greatest nation on earth, then why are you so down on it? You are the fruit of the greatest experiment democracy has ever known.

If you despise America and its place in the world, then please explain what you would do as a force for positive change?
