For our 2006 taxes we went to H&R Block as usual to file. Me and my BF have been together for 6 years and have 2 children together. We have always filed single and I claim as HOH and our 2 children. This year when we went to file the tax preparer was lecturing us how last year we should have filed married, filing jointly because we have been together for 5 years... when I asked her why she told me California's Common Law. She said we could be audited for our 2005 return. To make this story short we filed our 2006 taxes as married jointly in Feb 07', per our tax preparer advice. Anyways I've done my research and California doesn't have common law and I am soo pissed! I'm scared that I'm gonna get trouble because I took too long and didn't research this right away. Can anyone give me advice, and is filing the 1040X the right form I should use or is too late?

Hi everyone,

A very good friend of mine is going through something very difficult. Day by day his ability to walk degrades, he has had so many tests done, including being tested for colon cancer and his doctors can't find anything wrong. He's 34 years old and lists his symtoms as tightening pain around the abdomen and tingling in his legs but not all the time. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I found an amazing website that told me christians don't exist! What's more, I know that it's telling the truth (because it said it was).

I've also found out, no-one can prove the website wrong! If anyone tries to tell you they're a Christian, they're evil liars sent by the devil's servers - make sure you tell them what bad people they are!

Now the website may be a few years old, and it's been added to by many different authors (some of which weren't there at the time of it first being written)...but according to religious people, that makes it a valid historical document right?

Will anyone else join me in the celebrations? We no longer have to worry about these characters of fiction anymore!

Start a to do list here, so i can take the best answers of all the junk foods you all list and Drinks, and get the feeling from those who like this food, to make a to stop list.
What else for common exercise each day, can we do to stay healthy also
Things to include in everyday work and home living.
Recreational things as family's to do together to stay fit that are reasonable.

I want to make a demo to send to restaurants of me playing jazz standards using an electronic keyboard or an acoustic piano. My current setup has been to play the keyboard through the amp and record from Windows Movie maker with an 1/8" jack microphone plugged into the computer. I am getting decent quality recordings. The main problem I am having is that when I burn to the CD,even if I turn the volume up, the recording doesnt sound very loud. I would like to get a software mixer to solve this problem. Anyone know of any freeware available that is not just a demo? I know you can spend $100 of k on a setup but I am not trying to make a major motion picture soundtrack, just something that is functional in making a decent recording that I can package and send to potential clients.

I've been to Kings Dominion twice, once when I was like 4 and once last week, and I enjoyed all of the rides that I went on.

I've been to Busch Gardens once when I was probably 3 years old. I (obviously) don't remember any of the rides that I went on and whether or not I enjoyed them.

My family and I are planning a trip to one of these parks, and I'm not sure which one we should go to. I trust Kings Dominion, but idk if I wanna go to Busch Gardens and try something new...

Opinions, please?

I am not saying that we should have gone to war for oil, but is it really a bad idea to have an army sitting on top of the second largest oil reserve in the world? Some day 20 years from now if we have control of that oil will people say that Bush was a visionary. Remember what they said about Seward when he purchased Alaska? Putting this in military section because I am not trying to get political answers hoping more of historical, philosophical type answer if that makes sense.

My fisrt pregnacy I knew I was pregnate before I missed my period 2 weeks before I missed it everyone told me I had the flu and was full of it. And now I have a 20 month old daughter to show for it ( my flu bug I call her hehehe) But We have been trying for our second child and I am trying to remember how I felt before. I am peeing sooo much and frequntly sleeping on my stomach has been rough and I fel kind of sick this morning and taht my stomach feels that way agian I think I dont want to get my hopes up agian like I do everymonth but I feel this time its differnt like I should start sometime this week or next week at the beginng I got messed up I used to have my period on the 1st every month but last month there were 5 weeks in the month but any way has anyone ever known before they missed thire period????

When I ride over those bridges that open, that have a steel roadway surface, (we have quite a few of those in Massachusetts) I feel like I have very little traction and have to be extra careful and slow. ie. no more than 30 mph. Is this truly the case or is it just time for a new rear tire? How many miles should one expect on motorcycle tires?
