to a friend you are worried about? She quit a high power job and has nothing to pay for her expenses. Her mate left her yesterday and she says she doesn't trust anyone and feels hopeless. I'm really worried she may hurt herself. We live hours apart....what can I do??

i'm 20 years old and was kicked out of the house @ 18. I've been struggling ever since as far as basically everything goes; because my parents just threw me out without having taught me a thing.

my mother is a very strong alcoholic and my father a very big enabler in her life. my mom is very emotionally abusive and my sister and i have taken the brunt of it most of our lives.

anyway i guess i just need some advice. my sister is 14 and already headed for trouble. she's already not passed the 8th grade, and i was the same way only i didn't graduate high school (i went to summer school.)

I have very significant anxiety problems, as well as issues with msyelf. I don't want my sister to turn out the same way. i wouldn't by any means give my parents the parenting of the year award...it gets so much more complicated than that but this is all i can fit so it will have to do. I'm just very torn.

Why is it okay for orginizations to exclude white people? Isn't that racism too? Why is it legal for things like Black TV, Black Miss America, and and Black music awards to exist? Thats excluding other races- which is racism. Why is that fair, or legal? Serious answers, please.

about the troops in Iraq? I mean no one donates money for them or offers them any special benefits? They have student discounts all over the place but when we ask for military discounts they laugh. Just recently I went to the movies and asked if they had military discounts but they didn’t they only had student discounts. I'm pretty sure the college kids deserve it better than the poor veterans.
When I was fighting in Iraq I wanted Americans to show their gratitude but it felt like they didn’t care. I think the people need to give the soldiers of this war far more appreciation for what they have been through.

I have a front tooth chipped, and we don't exactly have the funds to go to a dentist and have it cosmetically touched up. Perhaps I'm vain, but appearance means a lot to me. I was thinking about just taking a nail file and just barely filing it down a tad. Just so the edge isn't so prominent. Here are some pictures of it so you can see what I am talking about...
(Not for the squeamish, it is pretty gross getting a close-up on a persons mouth!)
