I was just curious if it is ok to trim my cats whiskers; as they are pretty long. What will happen if I trim his whiskers? Will it hurt him? Is it ok?

I'm a Jewish guy who works for a company that has a no hat policy. I want to wear a yarmulka (skull cap) for passover week to work. Do you think that would be inappropriate since it's religious? Do you think the headcovering counts as a hat? Thanks.

Some of you seem to think that losing privacy and the right to counsel and being held without charge and without a speedy trial is OK for supposed security!
Which right would the Neo-Cons or anyone in government for that matter have to take away before you decided that maybe some of the liberals might be right in their concerns??

To lose any..... we could lose all!

I am wondering why more of you aren't concerned more?

Over a period of about 4 weeks this spirit that is represented by a wild boar has haunted my dreams and has left me paralysed and unable to breath and the more I tell it to go the worse it gets. Hangs around my bedroom and nearby areas. Leaving these areas alight is not working either day and night. Help scared out of my wits and young children are involved.

In this I mean, how many people do you think lie on the census about their religion because they fear being targeted by the government or being discriminated against? And how many politicians just say they're some denomination of Christianity because they want the religious to trust them?

I'm only asking because I know A LOT of Atheists who simply identify themselves with some branch of Christianity (usually what they were raised in) because religion is not really important in their lives and they don't want to be preached at or discriminated against for being an Atheist.

So could it be that the statistical number of Christians is greatly exaggerated and that there are more Atheists and Other-than-Christians out there than we actually know?

I mean after all - it's still not really acceptable to be an Atheist or "Other" in our society and a lot of people will say anything to keep or get a job or retain social standing

I want to buy an mp3 player for listening to music, but mainly to record the voice of someone speaking another language I am learning (maybe 5 minutes at a time), for later listening to through the same device. I believe the recording format is different to mp3 - how does the memory per unit of time compare to mp3 (as there is a lot of info on how much mp3 music these devices will hold)? ok, it started as a normal cold ( sniffles, cough, lost her voice for a day ) we rode it out for about a week and it was still there- the cough, a very deep dry cough. I took her in and they said her lungs were clear, tested neg. for strep and said it was a virus. ( give fluids and rest ) well now it is going on 3 weeks, the cough is not going away - no fever, but a very deep dry sounding cough, not a congestion sounding cough. I am going to take her back in, but what does anyone else think , can you have a virus this long?
