above all the people who believe simply because they've been handed this thing called religion?
Maybe scientists would be surprised to find god at the source, but with sufficient evidence, they would undoubtably accept him. For all we know, the quest for the origins of life and the universe may be god's grand plan.
Traditionally, one who works towards a goal is esteemed more than one who simply carries on what they've been given. I would think that if god exists, he would have greater appreciation for the people who've devoted their lives to SEARCHING for the truth, as opposed to those who simply accept what they've been told because of some promise of reward, or threat of punishment.
