Is there any technical difference between threading in java and threading in dot net? Then why do people say that threading in java is difficult. I haven't learnt java; I happen to learn threading in dot net. But if I am correct, this should be one and the same thing, right?

When I go to see my bird she gets all crazy on me trying to bit me. So I play fight with her and she really bit me hard. i dont know why she do this. On other days she is my best friend I think its pms...lol. I mean on regular day she would try following me and always being next to me. Whats her problem?

A few years ago, there was this song on all the time on channel V, I can't remember who by, how it went, or what it was called but I remember the film clip. It was a female, on a stage with her name in lights behind her, and she danced with her microphone stand. The song was a really funky song and I'd like to hear it again, but I haven't heard it since. I think she could have been wearing a green dress, but not sure, and I seem to remember her having long curly hair??? She reminded me of Joss Stone a little, and danced like Beyonce in Work It Out (Austin Powers), like a lot of stomping and stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions as to who she was??? Or even better, the song?? Thanks in advance

Today I was telling my 3-year-old daughter that we were going to visit a friend of mine. She's never met her, and asked me, "Mom, what color is she?".

We never discuss racial differences or anything race-related, so I was a little taken aback at her question, and answered it as innocently as I could. I said, "She has brown hair, dear", thinking that would be enough to satisfy her question.

She then says, "No mom. What color is SHE?"
I'm still a little shocked, but I say as calmy as I could, "She's just like you and me". (we're caucasian).
And my daughter responds, "Ohhh. You mean she's gray like me"???

I don't really know what to make of this. Have other parents had similar experiences with their kids when they realize people come in different races and "colors"? What's the best way to respond to this delicate question?

I have dated him on and off for about 1 1/2 years. I was in an accident and am trying to get completely healed, out of debt, and financially straight before marrying. I also need for my son to be old enough to drive himself to school as it is about 17 miles from where will be living b/c he has been in that school system with his friends since kindergarten. His son goes to school in the county we will be living in and I will be taking him to school. He says he is willing to wait, but I know he wants to marry sooner.

I know I can order the DG phone offline but, I just signed up with cingular and got a pink razor. I have 30 days to return it and get a new one. But does anyone know if cingular even carries the gold DG razor? If so, do I just buy it and then bring it into the cingular store and have them activate it? How does that work?

I want to get up at 9:00 am not not 3:30 pm. If I just get up at 9:00am I am too tired to function and just fall asleep and then I cant sleep and i am up later the next night. I had it when it began to "come out"... then didn't see the point of it... now I practactly go on it to check messages since they're like my e-mails daily... but it is a bit boring... true, I do use it for far away friends such as those who live far away ...but those who live near by.... i mean... there's such thing as a phone..! haha ....

I live in a City which is ran mainly by Democrats. Some of the Laws are outright rediculous! First of all; There is this law where you must shovel snow from the sidewalk in front of your house! But one problem; The sidewalk belongs to the city government! I guess they are to afraid of the cold! Next is the Smoking ban. This is a stupid law! If you know they allow smoking in certain buildings; Don't Go there! Its that simple! Not to mention the contaminants that the government is allowing to be put in our food is just as bad or even worse! More and more people are seeing the light and switching to an organic diet. All of our good paying jobs are either in Mexico or on their way!!!! I do not hold this against all Democrats. But why have the one's in my city failed miserably? Why are we sending our jobs to other countries? Why not let a man make at least enough money to care for his family? When you already have kids; Its tough to go to school and work at the same time!

I'm kind of a hairy guy here....and I'm deciding on removing some of the hair especially from places like the back, thighs, butt, and my armpits. A few reasons are pushing me to do this is, one, cause I'm quite young and I dont prefer lots of hair at my age....secondly....lots of women have said that they dont really like having sex with men with a lot of body hair.....I'm not gonna remove all....I'm leaving the hair on my arms, chest and lower legs.....I need your opinions please....especially women.....

I'm an 18 year old guy in new york. going into my second semester of college. at my point in life, I know that I'm gay but afraid to come out. my older brother is gay so it's much harder for me to come out. on top of that I have no idea what I want to study that will set my life career. I'm majoring in psychology right now but not sure if it's for me. the irony is that psychology sounds like it could help me a lot. I just don't know what to do anymore. everyday it keeps building up and i know eventually i will have to let people know about my true self and I know my life would be better if I did but it's the leap over the gate that i'm afraid of. please if you have any suggestions let me know. I can't take it anymore. thanks
