everyone in my generation is nuts. we got head problems, baggage, addictions, perversions, apathy, selfishness, violence. brother! i'd rather not date than keep putting up with guys' craziness or inflicting my craziness on them. how do you people keep on dating and marrying? i ask coz i know a guy who likes me and tho he's cute and nice mostly, he also drinks heavily and sometimes has sarcastic moods and is mean verbally then acts like nothing happened. and he's the best of the guys i know.

I am a Canadian, but doesnt it seem like President Bush is kinda nuts? Like I dont know he never makes sense and he is just weird. who picked him to be president?? He says terrorists are bad but is he not a terrorist when he just enters countries and starts attacking innocent people? I always picture him running around the white house playing cowboys and indians cause he is so morphed out. I just dont know what is wrong with him and how he ended up with control of a country..

My dog ate about a pound (hopefully less) off the table that we were packaging for the neighbors when we weren't looking. He threw up (we think most of it) within 30 minutes and then several more times over the next hour, until only bile came out. Now he seems fine, but it's a holiday weekend & I hate to bug the vet if I don't need to!

Here's a question I have trouble wrapping my mind around:

A person riding some futuristic speedy train pulls a Colt 1911 and fires a round from the rear of the caboose (exact opposite direction the train is traveling). If the train was traveling at a velocity of 750 feet per second and the projectile from the handgun was also traveling 750 fps, to the stationary observer standing by the tracks, would the bullet appear to simply emerge from the barrel and fall directly to the ground?

I try to simplify this by applying the same idea to lower velocities. I try to figure what a baseball would do if a person threw one from the rear of a modern Amtrak at 40 MPH when the locomotive was ALSO traveling at 40 MPH at the time. Still, I cannot figure what would appear to happen to the ball to the stationary track-side observer.... it hurts my brain!

Any ideas?

She will yell at me just because I walked ahead of her or if I have another friend over and not her. its cuz last time she came over she phoned her mom to go home!! I wish she would stop! It is hard to stay mad because if she crys she drags her parents and my parents into it too!

and are quite unsuited to each other. I do not have any lustful feelings towards her (even though she is very pretty) and I like her friendship and don't want to scare her away.
When I see her smile or hear her voice my heart does backflips, and when she and I part I am near tears.
I miss her when we're apart and look forward eagerly to the next time we'll see each other. I have already asked her out once and she has said no and made it clear that that no is permanent even though we are still friends.
For all sorts of reasons we would not work anyway. (I'm 34 she's 17, I'm scraping for a living and her family are wealthy, She's beautiful fashion conscious and artistic I'm a bit of a boor etc.)
All I want to know is....
How do I stop my heart from aching for her presence?
