I recently moved to my uncle's house, who has DirecTV programming. He's had a Tivo box for a few years and it is simply amazing. The other day I went to Best Buy and purchased a DirecTV-branded DVR (I think it's the R15) because they didn't have any Tivo boxes for DirecTV. After several nights of frustration with the user interface and overall poor design, I have decided to look elsewhere for a new Tivo-branded DVR.

I called DirecTV and they say that I can no longer buy a Tivo-branded DVR for DirecTV programming...at least thru them.

My question is: Can I still buy a Tivo DVR for DirecTV somewhere? Anywhere? And if I could, how easy would it be for me to get rid of my current p.o.s. and set up the Tivo unit?

*And I'm not looking to ebay for this; I've only heard bad things about people selling units that haven't been de-authorized.

Hi..I would like to know if anyone has any info about this procedure that they can share. I am looking for real answers please as I am beyond the "you should have thought about it b4 you got it done" we all make mistakes. I am and African American with dark skin and wanted to know if I am a good canditate for tattoo removal by laser. The ink is Black and was done professionally. the area is about 2.5 * 2.5 inches and it is more of an outline...it doesn't have too much shading. I also wanted to know if anyone knows how the lenghth of time the ink has been in the skin affects removal. Some websites say older tattoos are harder to remove, and some websites say the opposite that new tattoos are harder to remove. Any comments or personal experiences anyone can share is greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has tried any Doctors in the Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia area that they are satisfied with please share thier information. Thanks in advance

I was flying home from holidays in Portugal and had arranged to call my friend to let him know what time the plane would be landing. He was collecting me from the airport and wanted to be able to wait in the 10 minute pick up zone.

I phoned him and the next thing I knew I woke up in hospital with two broken arms and covered from head to foot in bruises. I dont know what happened. I have been lying here trying to retrace the events as they happened, but just cant work it out.

I lifted my cell phone and dialed his number. I waited and then he picked up my call. I had to shout because of the noise inside the plane and that is the last thing I can remember.

I didnt even manage to tell him my arrival time ---- the only words I got out were "Hi Jack" and then it went dark.
